Based on the process, are the ARU within their rights to appeal the decision?

As Peter Fitzsimmons wrote recently:

Typically, it was Hunter S. Thompson who said it best: "When The Going gets Weird, the Weird turn Pro."

He has written a very interesting piece in which he argued that common-sense has won-out in this whole saga... I do not entirely agree, and I thought Beale should be cut-loose if found guilty, but he makes a solid argument to the contrary...

The ARU have bought-in to a reality TV saga, instead of saying very early; "This is a Rugby Club, we don't do this, good luck with your future, move on".

I have been busy with an article on the South African economy which has become too long to call an article but therein is the following which I think can be applied to this matter in a sense as well.

The oppressor, by design, remains oblivious to the welfare of the slave.

The only confusion here is about who the opressors are. The slaves are the people watching the game and supporting the Wallabies.

You think?
If I were her,I might give a statement, but no fucking way am I going to any hearing now that I have resigned.
I wouldn't need the stress, there is nothing in it for me.

A chance to have her say in the correct forum (the tribunal) - not in a crappy interview in the paper the following week. She had an opportunity to impact on the outcome that , but failed to do so. That's what was in it for her.

As I said perviously, its just setting it up for a lawsuit. eg. "I Felt bullied", not "I was bullied". Im guessing she wasnt bullied at all, its just one of the key words the lawyers suggested she throw in to the interview.

I kindly request you back away from Criticism of Ms. Patson in this case. It is pointless, and unattractive - and ultimately, without provocation. She has not been demonstrated as having done anything to invite this situation, and whilst the Interview may or may not have been a mistake, it is hers to make...

We have all made them.

It's unfortunate that this saga has attracted some very nasty people to this forum over the past few weeks...........

actually I disagree, the courts will be her correct forum, the tribunal was only about Beale admitting to sending one sexist text and not two; and not how she was treated. He admitted his guilt.

There are specific laws and procedures about that to test her claims, have a look at the link below

The smartest thing the ARU can do is throw money and support at her, and get her to sign a NDA so it goes away

Sir Kurtley comes back, plays for the wallabies and scores the winning try against the All Blacks.

All will be forgotten, he will be vindicated,

Because neither of them know anything. Just trying to make themselves seem important. Presenting themselves as the resource for everything rugby but really knowing fuck all. I just the words of all the mods on GAGR then them.

I can't stand Rebecca Wilson's style of journalism, but to suggest she doesn't know anything about this situation is clearly incorrect.

Some of the early claims she presented have been proved correct.

Every journalist reporting on this saga have got some things correct and others incorrect. There are clearly multiple versions of the 'truth' being circulated by the various parties involved from the players to the ARU boardmembers.

I expect that if the ARU tries to put a stop to the saga now I expect that the source of the second message will start being leaked.

You're going to have to help me with that one BH. What has she got right?

(apart from there was a tribunal)

Well, They are off and running...

"Jacquelin Magnay" in London reports that...'The Wallabies are ready to welcome disgraced fullback Kurtley Beale back into the fold as soon as he is ready, new defence coach Nathan Grey has revealed... both Grey and halfback Nick Phipps spoke about the important contribution Beale could have on the team from the Wallabies’ hotel in central London as they prepared for a clash against the Barbarians on the weekend"...

Cheika puts out a statement that Beale will not tour, and his New (4 days) defence coach then contradicts him with this?...

Maybe Grey is innocent, and the Article Headline "Kurtley Beale may play against Barbarians" is to blame - but can these blokes TRULY be this Naive?

All is Well. Nothing to See Here.

I think this is where there has been a massive misunderstanding by some journalists/commentators and the community following the saga that have criticised Patston for "not fronting".

The Judge led process was to establish what Beale had done and if as a consequence of admitting his role in sending the first text, he was the author of the second. Patston was not on trial or her version of events even.

I think Beale will be used as an injury replacement option

The way these tours work he is quite likely to go over, the side was very light on 15s, if an outside back is sent home .........................................
