Andrew Johns tell all about the time (or all of them) he was pinging off his head at that rave.
I'd agree with you, however the powers that the CMC has are extraordinary and you are breaking the law by using your "right to remain silent"
It was a bit of a story at the time. Nowadays it would almost be considered best practice.A classic tale from Brad Fittler about the time he woke up on the footpath outside Glebe Police Station after a night on the tiles.
This has not as yet been blamed on the Waratahs, nor has it yet been framed as an ARU/NSWRU conspiracy to get Qld.
I've thought for a number of years that the NRL should just own their bad behaviour and notoriety and profit off it.
A tell all interview from Greg Bird and his girlfriend about the time he threw a glass at her and blamed his mate who was out playing golf.
An instructional video from Todd Carney on 'bubbling'.
Nate Myles about how drunk you have to be to mistake a hotel corridor for the bathroom of your hotel room (I swear both the doors looked the same).
A classic tale from Brad Fittler about the time he woke up on the footpath outside Glebe Police Station after a night on the tiles.
The Burning Palm Motel at Dubbo.
Is that the infamous location of Julian O'Neill and Schlossie's shoe?
Excluding the NZ Warriors, there are 15 professional teams in Mungoland, with a further 15 apprenticeship professional teams in the <car makers> cup. Estimating a squad size of 30 in each of these, that means that there are around 900 professional athletes in their code in Australia. Compare that to the 150 professional Rugby athletes, and the Dark Side will mathematically have 6 times as many "problem children" and "problems".<snip> I suppose it's wise not to throw too many stones at other codes/sports as we are just a reflection of society with similar percentages of stupidity probably lurking under the surface .

They typically have no problem meeting this KPI.
Makes you wonder doesn't it. It's the worst kept secret in QLD. I've been overseas for the last 10+ years and even I heard that rumour during a few quick visits. Interesting times ahead.yeap, it seems many of us qlders have been hearing the same rumour regarding said broncos star for over a decade. Cant wait to see the Bronco Times (courier mail) spin this one
I agree with your sentiment but wish a coach or GM of a team would tell the truth.I realise it's a standard of the forum to play the ball and not the man but i cant help myself..
georgina robinson. I have really grown to loath you. Most of it comes from my bitterness of how you (and your colleagues) played an active roll in public hanging of Ewen Mckenzie and his banishment from Australian Rugby.
And maybe i am bitter. but Georgina you truly dont care who you step on to sell papers.
Tonight on Rugby HQ the panel was talking about Hunt being supported by the Reds. All Georgina had to point out was that he's "bringing the game into disrepute". i nearly put a hole in my flat-screen. What does that even mean you idiot. your missing the point.
I realise that standard NRL and ARU contracts have contractual clauses which deal with the idea of "bringing the game into disrepute", but that doesn't get around the fact that Hunt is guilty of nothing at this stage. If anything his only criticism in that regard can be that he associated with some people that were "potentially" involved in criminal activity.if that's the threshold for bringing the game into disrepute well then fuck, you might as well sack most of the professional footballs in this country.
Some journos just seem to have no concept of the idea of the presumption of innocence. this is something I'm passionate about.
Rant over. no more drinking and off to bed.
.love ya georgina!
The thread is slowly grinding or slowing down.
Half a dozen Broncs and Suns and a couple of Retired State of Origins legends should kick it back into "gear". From my unconfirmed source one of those guys will stun me , if indeed true
^^^^^^ I'm not so sure about that.
Our nephew played age-group rep league back in NZ & was being actively scouted by multiple NRL clubs as a 16yo. Every Club that talked to his parents emphasised the academic excellence of their associated schools & when told of nephew's passion for drawing how great their graphic design/ arts programme was.
Under-20's players aren't allowed to train with the first-graders, aren't allowed to train at all until the afternoon/ evening, and are required to be enrolled at uni, TAFE or local equivalent. Boys will either be billeted with families from similar backgrounds (e.g. PI kids with PI families) or live in hostels with full-time, live-in parent substitutes. No expense is spared but obviously it doesn't always work, as in the case of the young bloke a couple of years back who got so homesick & messed up he took his own life. But it's certainly not a case of a 15/16yo being handed a shitload of cash & left to his own devises..
Nephew BTW suffered a compound dislocated fracture to the ankle while trialling for Waikato U16's (whom he'd already played for the year before) & subsequently disregarded his rehab programme resulting in additional tendon & ligament damage, footy career over.

What's that guys name? Genuinely don't know it. No Loig in WA.
