3 tries all, I suspect you will find.
And when I played, I was a front row forward. I personally don't give a rats arse about nancy 'running rugby' arguments. I love rugby for the tight stuff, where you win the ball through a contest of strength. Scrums, rucks and mauls - they're the things of beauty for me.
The 'it's all about the tries' argument is a peculiar one to me. I think its a product of people growing up around too much league and/or not appreciating forward play. When I played, I didn't care how we won, I cared that we won. When I am watching the Rebels, I don't care how they win, I care that they win. I love it when they get their 4 try bonus point, because that will help them get ahead in competition. That being said, I was probably happier with the win against the Brumbies where we scored one try to the one against the Hurricanes where we scored six; either way, both were exciting games. Tries are simply one way of scoring points, there's nothing sacred about them. When it comes down to it: win first, tries second. If anything, winning by penalties can often suggest that you were the cleaner (or better at getting away with cheating) side; see the Reds v Brumbies game.
Wykes certainly had a cracking game this round, albeit so did Pyle. I suspect (with the possibility that Horwill might displace one of them) that they'll get the lock positions in one of those silly media 'teams of the round'. However, to suggest anything beyond that is very premature. Cummins has been pretty good this year, if he keeps it up he might get his chance. Then again, this is a World Cup year and because we're playing for sheep stations, coaches are going to be less inclined to take risks on relative unknowns (at least on the international stage).
