It was Thomas' option taking with a quick tap that setup one of the tries and I actually throught Goddard looked a step down with some of his passing. There were a number of passes hitting either high or low at times. Thomas hasn't impressed me much in the past, but I thought he showed a lot of willing tonight.
I also thought in the context of a thrown together team Debreczeni played his role reasonably well. There was a lot of play off 9, and you could see he didn't have connections with some of the other players, but his clearances really took some of the pressure off the team and he had some moments where he was able to insert himself.

It says plenty about the opposition (this was much more of a scratch Lions side with a lot less prep), and definitely lends credence to the talk the Kiwi players were treating that game as a Baa Baas style week on the piss. Beyond that I'm not so sure you can draw too many direct conclusions though.
Well he looked pretty interested in tackling tonight. Some serious strength holding up some of the lions players.

I'm not disagreeing that Jarrah McLeod had a fine game, but to be calling for him to be added to the Wallabies squad, as some are doing here tonight, is premature. He hasn't even played a agme of Super Rugby yet iirc. His partner in crime from the U20s, Kadin Pritchard, on the other hand played against Fiji and appears to be ahead in the Brumbies pecking order.
He’s not joining any wallabies squad yet. He’ll be fun to watch in super rugby au though. Leli might be close to going on the end of year tour. He’s looked comfortable in every scrum he’s been in this year.

I haven’t watched the game yet and am generally all for stability in the squad, but surely LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) has now made an irresistible case for inclusion. We clearly need people who want to rip and tear into the pasty gits, and three times now he’s lapped up every chance to do so.

Bent the line on every carry. Doesn’t have to play this year for the Wallabies or next for that matter but with the potential he showed tonight I feel it is when and not if he earns a wallabies jersey

That was fun watching (I did it this morning). Only comments are loved the concept of the In/PI team, great to see more.
Was pissed at first YC to Riley(didn't even think it was a penalty), but full disclosure, I thought the decisions in first test as no cards were right . I not into refs finding some reason to make these things cards. I didn't think Riley even made contact with head, or if he did after coming off shoulder ir was minimal. But all in all the In/PI team will be happyish (I know they prefer a W) they played with real pride and did themselves proud.
One other comment can Morgan Turunui give it a rest, his whining makes Justin Marshall sound fun!

Agreed with this. There's understandably an eagerness by the Stan commentary for the Aus teams to do well on this tour but he's gone over the top - non stop whinging is grating
What an excellent game that was. It shows that with purpose and attitude a team brought together in one week can actually compete (looking at you AUNZ team....). I think it helped that a number of these players had experienced playing the Lions already on this tour. Plenty of lessons for the Wallabies to take away for Saturday and a few of those FNP players should be in the 23 on Saturday if there was a genuine chance for players to play their way in.

Think you were watching the wrong guy. He missed one tackle out wide when covering but shot out of the line and put on some good shots, forcing the Lions to rush a few passes. Made a couple of double plays in defence as well and drove some attackers backwards. Not saying it was perfect but he threw himself at anything wearing red.
