Yeah, we are down to the reserve dirt trackers for the Lions now, up to the 4th/5th choice in some spotsTo be fair - there are some big players missing for the Lions.
Their test match halves combo shits all over these muppets.
Gamble had a pretty good game as well I thought. Lots of second efforts, the kind of things that coaches love to see.FNP played well. Swain and LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) gave a reminder to Joe of what a difference they could make to the Wallabies.
Thomas was extremely disappointing. Some poor decisions and his wind up to pass right to left allows the defence and extra metre or more to advance at our ball receiver. Jack Deb went ok, not great, for the third best No 10 at the Brumbies.I think Debreczeni and Thomas also both deserve some kudos too.
Pearce is solid. Young and carries the ball very well. Scrums decent.McLeod, leli and Pearce all look like they could make the step up!
Only chink in the armour is an apparent lack of interest in tackling. does have an impact otherwise.McLeod has been fantastic so far. Ran down Duhan, made metres with the ball and looks an educated ball player for such a young kid.
I imagine the plan was to bring him and Debreczeni on at once, obviously that didn't work so well with Daugunu's early concussion. Not sure why they didn't go that way to start though, I though Beale at 15 and Debreczeni at 10 would've been the way to goGotta say it would have been a very interesting if Goddard started. Thomas wasn't giving great delivery
If he doesn't go down Debreczeni doesn't come on that early and has the effect he did on the game - swings and roundabouts. Was Devo dangunu (FFS it's Daugunu!) (FFS it's Daugunu!) got concussed. Was looking for a big game from him. He may have been the difference tbh
Also missed a clutch kickFor an old bastard who's hardly played in the last 3 seasons, I thought KB (Kurtley Beale) (Kurtley Beale) was decently solid.
