Because like anyone, Meyer has his moments of lunacy.

We could do with Kockot right now. Our fit 9's are a load of crap.

But it's too late because Meyer has some sort of issue with Kockott.
I have been asking for Reinach to get a chance for ages. Thought he played well on saturday. Thought the Bokke played much better this week. Lambie still need to work on his kicking. Any win is good against England.

Boks maul! Man down and still steamroll over

Think you're referring to the Schalk Burger try for Saffies to retain the lead after England caught up 20-20.

Just saw the replay of the try in question, had the AR done his job, he would have advised obstruction by Saffies to the referee.

Burger was given the ball at the end of the maul by Marcel Coeztee who proceeded to peel off the maul completely with Burger still attached to him. Coeztee only needed to move forward a couple of metres with only air in front of him and then into a couple of defenders to make way for Burger behind him to plant the ball.

Isn't that a truck and trailer situation? The AR had full view of it and should have taken action!

Hi, new around here. Been reading for a while and thought to join what looks to be a decent forum!

had the AR done his job

Both teams probably could have started a few sentences like this - and maybe both in instances where the end result/mistake ended up in 5 or more points.

I'm sure this has been beaten to death - still think it just speaks to the fact that reffing in pro rugby needs to be looked at. It is extremely frustrating as a fan, and unfair to players/staff.

Can't deny that both of these two teams know how to maul!

Glad the boks came out on top this round :)

Don't recall. Read something somewhere that he may or may not have had concerns. I heave read that Kockott is not the easiest guy to manage but maybe it was written buy an Afrikaner who wanted Hougaard to play :)

Welkom Groen.

State your bloodline. Be careful of Oom. He's from the Cape and he smokes weed from the mountain.

I thought it was truck an trailer for sure. From memory the law explicitly addresses peeling off?

What I could not aee fro mthe replays is whether Coetzee still had the ball when he peeled off but that should really not make a different. he still cleared the way.

I think he was orraait Oom. But he is no Fourie Doep. There's only one.

He is a total different type of scrummie. Not that good service but quite nippy and quick around the rucks. Thing is he never got enough time to settle at the Sharks to gain the confidense needed. He need gametime to get confidense to play to his potential.

I think Owen penalised the French in the Wallabies match for exactly this same thing, in almost the same postition.

Just because I don't watch too much NH rugby, of the english side that played last weekend, how many of them would be likely starters if the world cup was tomorrow?

Vunipola or Corbisiero are usually preferred over Marler
Hartley is first choice but could be behind Tom Youngs sometimes
Dan Cole is #1 tighthead
Launchbury and Parling are missing but would assume Lawes will be one of the starters. Attwood was very good however.
Backrow is at fulll strength but Morgan will come in for Vunipola from now. Questions over Wood and Haskell might come in.
Care/Youngs share the #9 role.
Farrell is getting heavily criticised but Lancaster is backing him.
Brown is a mainstay at 15 but been in poor form.
Rest of the backline is fairly unstable. Tuilagi is always there if fit.

I actually thought Ford looked better than Farrell. Brown could be a real threat IMO, he doesn't look too far off.

As an Aussie, I wouldn't mind seeing Toby Flood at 10.

Solid review, but I would put Webber in over T Youngs at Hooker. Youngs can't hit a barn door at 10 paces with his throwing in. Also I don't see much between Wilson and Webber. Would be happy with either starting. Corbisiero is the clear favourite for Loosehead as well I would guess.

Probably because he is a better player, Lancaster just seems to stick with Farrell come thick or thin. It's his main criticism in press these days.

His attitude is reason enough to avoid him. Maybe he's grown up a bit since he went to France, but while he was here, he always looked for trouble with the opposition, or backchatting the ref excessively, or even yapping at his own captain.

No thanks. We have enough in Du Preez, Hougaard, Reinach and even Piet Van Zyl to make up for what we lose in playmaking.
