This is the same coach that persisted with Giteau at 10, Rocky at captain, Dean Mumm etc, though.

I think hes looked at the way he wants to play the game last year the main worry was the front row note now how they hold and give it thats a team coming together at the right time. George was good Pocock is like he was in his young days. The pack is growing big hearts.

Robbie I think gave those guys the opportunity to do well and gel. He knew things had to change and although it may have upset a few people we'll see.

i admit to being confused and frustrated at times by deans - and i was one of the crowd cheering when he was first signed. i'm buggered if i can absolutely be certain how influential a coach really is, particularly when you have a group of talented blokes who are likely to succeed no matter what. i think the most significant event in deans' time has been the appt of horwill as captain. not sure how much credit deans deserves for doing the blindingly obvious however. regardless of whether he clung to elsom stubbornly, horwill looks the most natural captain since eales. there is just something about him thats screams 'this where i belong'. you could not say that about gregan or elsom for that matter. love it.

Do people think the Wallaby scrum is fixed?

No, but it no longer looks like it's on roller skates and isn't specifically causing us to lose test matches. Far more competitive than it has been for years.

I dont think Rocky was doin too well as a captain but he was still playing well. Thats a big call replacing yr captain 2 weeks out from the world cup but hes taken it on the chin and it hasnt effected his game made it better i think. He been rebuilding a team for the best part of 4 years and each game he will make sure they have something up his sleeve for each team they play.

i like your confidence in robbie. i hope you're right. i think i lean a little more toward the 'the changes were inevitable regardless of who became coach' side, however. still deans has made some hard calls to give him credit
