I don't like our record in the last 4 years. I don't put it all down to one man.
On a side issue - would we have got Henry / Smith / Hansen / Cron as a package? :) You guys could have had, umm, Phil Blake, Noriega, Jim Williams.... Good deal? No? ;)

Oh, I don't either. There's a number of factors, in play - just as there's a number of factors in the Wallabies current resurgence, not all of which are down to Deans. It's not a science.

You realise the difference between 78% and 72% is less than one game don't you. You can twist anything around to look bad if you try hard enough. And why exactly would we be comparing it to pre 1970 games?

Cause up till the 70's the Wallabies were the AB's bitches. They got a lot more competitive after that (1970-2008 is 62%).

Who said that again?

Scott Johnson in his past coaching life, referring to NZ, although I think he said "a" poxy island. Not his finest utterance. I don't think Wales did so well after he said it!!

To be fair, he did retract the statement. He clarified that it's actually 3 poxy islands.

What revival in australian rugby are we talking about - apart from the Reds (not coached by Robbie) the other 4 provinces went backwards in crowds, viewers and ladder position. The only positve is that the reds increases actually dragged the national average fwds. Dont be deceived about the true state. The relative position of the wallabies is unchanged

and the relative position of the wallabie has changed
its gone from 2/3 and happy
to # 2 with potential

Did you read the article? The Super final rated highest more than the Test by 100,000 viewers and it was a test between Aust and NZ with something on the line. Thats telling me the Reds are doing more for Australian rugby than given credit. Agree that everyone is currently happy by the one performance but a few weeks prior we had one of our worst defeats. No problem with potential but that is the case always as we sit 2 or 3 consistently but remember potential is just unrealised talent

I believe the test was also shown on free to air.

This kind of post is just inflammatory drivel. Why are the mods putting up with this kind of insulting post about former Wallabies?

It's not meant to be inflammatory - if you want, I'll rephrase. Before the 1970's, the Wallabies were significantly less competitive.

Is that better? Jeez, a tad over-sensitive are we? Would you like me to personally apologise to Ken Catchpole & Greg Cornelsen?

This is the same coach that persisted with Giteau at 10, Rocky at captain, Dean Mumm etc, though.

I think hes looked at the way he wants to play the game last year the main worry was the front row note now how they hold and give it thats a team coming together at the right time. George was good Pocock is like he was in his young days. The pack is growing big hearts.

Robbie I think gave those guys the opportunity to do well and gel. He knew things had to change and although it may have upset a few people we'll see.
