But the Crusaders certainly did enough to win. Tahs were out on their feet at the end, and the Crusaders kept the pressure on. I really didn't think the 2010 Crusaders would be this good. Maybe Blackadder is a better coach than Deans?

are you saying that blackadder should replace deans as wallaby coach? we should start a club, im in!

Thing is the TMO procedure was always going to be a bit of a farce once they started using their brains. But leaving the TMO no option but to agree with you kind of removes the need for a TMO. Surely the fucking TJ could have made that call?

Have no problems with where a ref or TMO is from. Just think that if they are going to use TMOs they need be flexible. Try or no Try is not always the right question as sometimes cameras dont help.

like in league where the specifically look at certain aspects of the try. I reccon he should have let beale score then go to TMO

A kiwi was sitting in the TMO chair.

Just sayin...

That same kiwi was recently dropped from refereeing and touch judging after losing the Hurricanes the game.

Restricting it to the in-goal or the act of scoring a try is somewhat ridiculous. In this, the NRL is ahead of us. Last tackle or ruck should be the limit. However, I think the NRL has it wrong in not being allowed to call on forward passes.

Why are we discussing the merits and nationality of the TMO? Would like to hear the forum's verdict on the try itself. I do not believe that Photocopier had control of the ball and I dont believe he grounded it with downward pressure. Letting it roll down your wrist and then plonking your arm on top does not count on either requirement. When Joubert asked the TMO "I believe a try has been scored - can you advise me if there is any reason why I should not award it" (or whatever he said) the TMO had two obvious reasons why not.

Even the kiwi commentators exclaimed at one stage that there were no doubt bottles and glasses being thrown at TV sets all across NSW.

If we're going to be like this, may I ask you the nationality of Paul "I'm going to hand this match to the Waratahs" Marks?

He got pinged and dropped. At the very least, the same should happen to Joubert. I have a sneaking suspicion that wont happen though - he'll be protected by the Saffa mafia in the officialdom.

I'm afraid you will have to see what Lyndon Bray has to say about the reffing in the game, then we'll see who is right and who is wrong.

Are those comments made public?

If Hickey and Waugh make a big deal about it, then they are, has happened all year, in fact Kaplan got roasted last week too. So no one's immune to it all.

Noddy, do you think we can get a video of KB (Kurtley Beale)'s intercept and the crusaders "Try" up?

I think the key is that attacking teams are still being allowed to dive off their feet and seal the ball off from the defending team.

And the refs are only occasionally pinging it. Its not just sealing it off either - its the attacking team going straight to deck in order to create a squeeze ball scenario where its impossible to drive it off. I was all for the NRIs provided they gave us a better competition for the ball, but erred on the side of the team willing to use it.

I can't believe Joubert let it go. It was pretty blatant. Not to mention the Saders ball carriers crawling forward and making another yard on the ground. The rules don't mean shit if the refs are asleep at the wheel.

The main thing that killed the Tahs was their kicking game. Mitchell, Hangers, Barnes all kicked the ball straight down the Crusaders' throats. All that achieved was the stretching of our defence and tiring of our forward pack. I would have liked to have seen more lineouts. Paulo's lineout throwing is one of the Saders' few weaknesses and Mowen is an elite aerial poacher.

I was pleased with our defence and never say die attitude in the last 20. Cause it seemed in the 1st 20 that we hadn't showed up to play with silly stuff like kicks being allowed to bounce & Hangers generally shitting his pants all over the paddock (more of a 60 minute thing in his case).

In the match wrap up Sean Fitzpatrick said he saw a nod of the head from the Assistant ref to Joubert. I have no idea what he was talking about.

Confirming the fix being on, and a big pile of cash waiting in Joubert's hotel room ?
