I was watching Hansen tonight.thought had very good game...

Irony is more what noticed was quality of lineout throws....

Plus made a few good breaks from the breakdown...

2 were just good reads by the Saders.

That is the first game I've watched and completely agreed with Genia's critics. He was terrible tonight. Meandering to the break down, literally standing half a meter away from rucks watching the Saders pick up our ball, slow ball WITH players already set up outside him. Him playing like that at 9 and Frisby at 10... no wonder the Reds are hopeless in attack. At least Gale had some urgency when he came on.

Those calling JOC (James O'Connor)'s game rubbish clearly only watched his 1 missed kick and the interception. Missed the fact that he was the only player giving the backline any go forward, consistently beating the first tackler and creating half gaps/opportunities. If he was on the end of the Tahs/Brumbies/Rebels backline everyone would be raving about him. But he is the bookend of a completely dysfunctional backline.

Thanks fuck the Reds have LFG, Hanson and JOC (James O'Connor) at the moment. Easily our best 3 with Kerevi close behind.

If Will Genia gets anywhere near the Wallaby 31 after that I'll eat Dismal Pillocks hat.

He fucking jogged and watched 3 tries in a row go in from a position he could have affected a tackle.

Lazy, lazy, lazy.

Just a typical 2015 Reds performance really. Little to no game plan in attack, little to no go forward in attack, sh**house kicking and heinously poor defence.

Our best attacking weapon is JOC (James O'Connor) and there doesn't seem to be any attempt to get him the ball at all.

Dismal Pillock

Cantabs give dynastic sendoff to Mccaw and Carter

Staggered Reds defesnive line makes the supposedly "vanilla" Cantab backline look unstoppable. How stupid was that. The much maligned Fonotia stepping like hes suddednyl fred fuckin astaire. They even managed to make Sam bloody Whitelock look like Godzilla roaming across their plains for a 60 metre try of the season

Macilau has Sivivatu written all over him

Dom Bird stood up to be counted. Perhaps not the next Mark Cooksley after all

Carter starts to gear up the running game. Augurs well for NZ

Everything is right in Cantabland tonight

Meat and potatoes for everyone.

Horwill is guilty of similar offences too. I can't see more than 4 Reds, at most, making the squad.

Go back and watch Marto's body language when he was laying the smack down on the Dick and Reds Board.

Maaaann, he was pissed. His head looked like it was about to pop. I actually felt a shred of respect for his passion.

Was the first half really any better Scoey? On the scoreboard maybe but the but in terms of play it was still pretty poor.

In terms of skill execution? Not great but better than the second half.
What I liked about the first half was the intent and commitment. I haven't seen that in some time from my boys. They played flat. They (mostly) did the right stuff to earn the right to go wide. They dominated territory and possession.
In the first half I though, at least we're in this.
In the second I was simply thinking damage control.
From where I sat the first half was much better.

Players' fault.

Reds head coach Richard Graham said he was incredibly disappointed with his side’s second half performance.

“What a disappointment. Without a doubt that is one of the most disappointing performances I have been involved. Everything we did in the second half was loose, lateral and without conviction,” he said.

Interesting Scoey because i said to my Reds mate that the crusaders would be very uneasily if they didn't get the bonus point in the second half. I thought the Reds very average in execution, having no real effective plan, but full of endeavor. For having nearly 60% possession and 75% field position they did little with the ball. The crusaders whenever they got the ball genuinely threatened and it took some very good individual defensive efforts to stop tries, such as the tackle by Slipper. Genia was far better in the first 40 though and he is the best example I can give of why I think the Reds just aren't fit.

Coach is a clown......or the players think he is a clown. Either way he needs to go IMO.

In all honesty if RG is reappointed to the coaching position LFG should sign with the 7s and try for the Olympics. Why destroy your career playing in a side with no improvement in it, and that is how I E it under RG. It is not the results it is how they are trying to play.
My take is that he's a team man to the core.
I still think it's only luck and injury that doesn't have him ahead of hooper and there are aspect to his play that I prefer to pocock.
To go to Christchurch where they invented the archetypal post modern openside and outplay the heir apparent in a massively losing side is a huge achievement.

Re L Gill - strong, public rumours (see The Australian) are circulating that he may soon announce a move to the Rebels - and who could blame him.

Chronically bad coaching and endless team losses can negatively impact the careers of excellent players.

When you have a coach blaming his players in the open like this (and thus directly excusing himself), you know that the gold standard of institutional and coaching rottenness has been reached.
