Australia lifted their intensity in the Kenya match. However, they seem to be committing to contact with ball in hand instead of avoiding it and realigning their attack and too many players to the breakdown which leaves midfield gaps that better teams will exploit.

It's a good start to what should be a medal, hopefully Gold, tonight as long as we build on those good things we did and work on those little things that are crucial.

Australia will play South Africa (Scotland bombed a certain try at the death) in the semi at 8:50pm AEDT and then the medal games are at 9:50 then 10:20 AEDT.

2nd Half

Turner excellent run and kick forward but ball curves toward K on goal line and relieve.

Sloppy Oz scrum lose ball. Scrum too high (Cummings prop).

A get K runner out. L/Out Phipps lifted in LO. Phipps runs, pass to Foley, to Coleman, forward pass not noticed, Cummings in for try 27-0. How did K beat Samoa yesterday?

K get ball from tackle and Humphrey Kayanga (Sp?) try after left and right switch. 27-5.

Game over - Oz plays either South Africa or Scotland. England get to play NZ.

It was a very good performance, based on the best defence of the competition so far. Oz have the defence to win the comp, but not the attack. They are just not dynamic enough, and don't ever look likely to score a long distance try. What we wouldn't have given for someone like Rocket Rod to finish off the half breaks.

Yeah, a much better performance but a Quirk type to push in the scrums and counter ruck would have been good. One man can make such a difference in 7s.

Yes it is quite shocking that we could lose one of our scrum feeds vs Kenya.

I'm not holding high hopes for the South Africa game.

Into the final!

Good win 17-7 over the Saffas. Think the Kiwis will be hard to top, looked pretty impressive vs England. But Sevens is a lottery so you never know.

As much as we all want otherwise, the bloody Darkness look a dead set certainty for Gold. They certainly put the Unwashed to the sword in a very clinical manner.

I just can not see us getting up. As Lee has opined previously, we are missing a finisher. Darkness have several.

PNG just Beat Canada for the Bowl Final.

Samoa about to take on Scotland for the Plate Final.

Poms vs Saffers in Bronze playoff. then the big one.

Very well played against SA. Controlled possesion, and again our defense won the day.

Morahan is looking a likely wallaby tourist.

Rugby Future would be very excited with the display of jumpers on show.

Very non-traditional strip from the Scots.
