CAS Rugby 2024

Cranbrook have definitely had a unlucky season with scores not truly reflecting their performances. This is the main reason I believe that they have been very unlucky with selections... Cam Mackenzie truly deserves the CAS 1st XV 8 Jersey, I believe he is much more proven and experienced then TJ Talieva... Jed Smith, flanker/hooker from Cranbrook also unlucky, having a great season, but due to Cranbrook's unfortunate luck didn't find himself starting which I believe is again a bit harsh. Lastly, Tom Marchant (9) definatley deserves to be in any of those two CAS teams, seeing his matchup against Hugo Schneider, you would believe he would be in a higher team. This seems to be a reoccurring problem every year with the selectors favouriting teams and overlooking some player, and also being majority Barker coaches, you would expect a bit of bias.
Cam Mackenzie and Tom Haslam both are CAS 1st 15 Quality
As is the 10, 11 and 13
And the Front row and the 5
But they are all there playing, so it is not such an issue
But Jarvis and Tom Marchant not making either team is an issue!

And another early CAS try in the 1s through the forward pack. Converted by 10 Jecks (KGS)
CAS I 7 - CHS 0 @2
CAS I 7 - CHS 5 @8
great blocked conversion by 15 Poynton (BC) I think after CHS kicker took steps back first

Wonder if there will be any swaps/changes between I and II overnight due to form or injuries??!!

Anyone sticking their hand up in IIs this morning??

ISA IIs out to an early lead after try to ISA 15. Conversion bounces back off post
CAS II 0 - ISA II 5 @ 5

Good wide try to ISA 11 after decent buildup and a knock on off kick by CAS.
CAS II 0 - ISA II 10 @ 14

CAS strike back with a try to 2 (BC player I think, not Gyngell), after a great run by 22.
CAS II 5 - ISA II 10 @ 19

And HT

Perfectly weighted kick for CAS 15 (Barr WC?) to score. Converted by 11.
CAS II 12 - ISA II 10 @ 26

Scrum against the feed and CAS forward (maybe Mastro TC) scores.
CAS II 19 - ISA II 10 @ 33

And FT

Haslam (6 KGS) stood out for me.
