would have loved to see a full stength Brums side play the Welsh. Unfortunately Brums without 3 of their main weapons up front being Benny A, Moore and Dan Palmer. Reckon the Welsh will belt them up front. Without those 3 Welsh by 30

I guess I understand that, but I think that games like this should be televised not only because I think they would be commercially profitable but also because they serve to generate excitement around a tour. SH fans get to see NH players whom we generally wouldn't and vice versa.

Think you're forgetting this is Australia and how popular the game is here. Say in NZ, the networks would be jumping at the opportunity to show rugby content because it will always rate. Not here, it doesn't rate much (as much as it pains me to say) and such a trivial game would not be on their radar at all. Just how it is in this country unfortunately.

I do think Fox could've set-up a one camera internet stream like they have done in the past for Wallaby Barbarian games.

The one upside of the match not being televised is that it will force anybody that wants to watch the game to get up off the sofa and make their way out into the cold and down to the stadium.

Although I'll admit this does nothing for those fans where this is not an option, I hope it boosts the crowd numbers.

The big Welshman from Melbourne is on the bench!

Good things happen to good people, and Gareth is top shelf. So unbelievably happy for the Rebels warrior #8.

Having said that, Vaea needs to smash him.... ;)

Zack penalty - Brumbies 3-0. Ian Smith referee.

Wales attacking goal line but lose ball. Ref playing advanatge PK Wales. Lineout near Brumbs line.

Another PK Wales, Brumbies get warning. Wales take scrum. Brumbies pick up from wheel but Vaea loses it. Wales on attack again - 5 metres out. They pass into touch.

Brumbies have covered scrum and lineout so far. Still 3-0.

Brumbies knocking over Wales attack time after time when they went for tries instead of PKs. Going too much side to side.

Wales all possession and 10 minutes on Brumbies line, since Brumbies PK but not using it. Brumbies scrum on own 5 metre line. Wales gets FK from scrum.

Hook over for Wales around Hand as Brumbies head for ruck instead of holding width. 7-3 Wales.

Finegan helping with radio commentary - interesting. Caputo on side line.

Brumbies PK on 50 metres - 25 meters out now B lineout. Rolling maul - I. Smith playing advantage goes back to 22 PK to have a shot but hits the upright. B lineout on 50 metres line - bad throw to Wales.

Try Wales set up by Beck running up middle - followed loose ball from Holmes ist time they tried to run ball out from 22. 14-3 Wales.

Brumbies poor at breakdown and still committing too many whereas Wales more scientific and committing few; so better defence wider. Tipuric having field day with 3 steals.

Brumbies 25 metres out but Murphy drops it and Wales clear. Back to 50 metres. Delve on.

Brumbies still can't bend line.

Backfoot ball from Brumbies scrum and Coleman kicks out on full. Wales lineout in B territory.Wales winger Brew down - hip flexor.

No pressure from Brumbies, nor dominant tackles = Wales go forward. Brew OK now.

Another Brumbies scrum with ball going back again, THP Sio having trouble but only 20 years old and is really a LHP.

Another poor Hegarty throw - Wales ball - kick back - Brumbies going nowhere. Losing too much ball going into contact. Brumbies haven't been in game. Coleman hurt.

Good throw this time, Brumbies on Wales 22. Brumbies ball too slow; 18 metres out; 1st good pressure from Brumbies but Wales defence too good. Brumbies tired but get PK in near goal posts. 14-6 at 38 minutes.

That was better pick and drive but Finegan reckons that Brumbs need to get ball to Brumbies big centres as Wales better at tight stuff.

Wales up near Brumbies goal line Wales hitting hard time and time again - score in corner on siren after good Beck run.

Wales fast recycling repeatedly = can use width more often; Brumbies stopping at ball but Wales poing through ruck and slowing Brumbies ball and even counter rucking it back.

Half time 19-6 Wales - 3 tries to 0 - Jones, Tipuric and AWJ.

Be interested to hear how Sitauti and Tom Cox go.

Theyre not getting the ball because everything is back foot and has to be kicked back. Only move they tried Wales got the ball and scored.

Neither player you wrote about has been mentioned by the commentators (Oops, Cox is on bench).

Game is on ABC Grandstand on digital radio.

Shingler damaged in 1st half by Vaea before Delve came on.

Coleman AC joint injury - Tom Cox on.

Kick off; Vaea drops it Wales on attack but Crawford intercepts and kicks through. Wales kick out - 15 metres out. Brumbies had 2 on 1 five metres out but blew it.

Wales kick ball out Brumbies lineout close in but Hegarty throw not straight - blew it. Subsequent scrum Wales walks Brumbies up the field. Too easy.

Hello - Wales throw not straight 22 metres out from their goal line . Fotu on for Vaea.

Caputo saying that Brumbies not targeting Wales players at ruck just hitting anywhere - Wales opposite, making every hit significant.

Wales PK and Brumbies take scrum near Wales goal line !?!?!? Why not tap? Several Brumbies phases and keep ball !!!! Go for touch. Lineout 8 metres out. Is it straight? No - should have taken tap.

@55 minutes still 6-19

Hook clears and Brumbies take quick lineout - great plan.

PK Brumbies. Over 19-9 Wales.

Brumbies still under pressure on own ball but better possession and territory so far since oranges.
