However... the Brumbies' forwards are disappointed in other aspects of their game...

Aren't they? So soft at the breakdown. No counter-ruck when it has been on the cards a few times when the Canes under-committed. Standing around like meercats. They all want to showcase their silky ball skills out wide, I think.
7-6 Canes

I'm impressed by the Brumbies scrum...

And Palmer is yet to come on!

Look at where the Hurricanes Flankers are, they aren't even pushing on the Ponies props they are sliding up onto the Brumbies Flankers. No wonder their scrum is getting "Caned" :) Have they been taking Australian scrummaging lessons.

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) off with a left hip injury now.
Canes are dawking themselves as much as the Ponies - the Ponies need to capitalise.

As I said on the other thread Cyclo, its all about basic skills execution. The Crusaders do it very very well at Lower intensity and it carries on when they step up. The Spavined Mules cannot execute at walking pace let alone stepping it up a notch. Three charge downs all from very poorly executed kicks, passes behind the players etc etc etc.

I saw one breakdown earlier with 2 Canes players and 3 Brumbies, and they just watched. FFS, get stuck in when they give an opportunity like that. The Crusaders just do most things well, at the right time too. They seem to actually think on their feet. Who'd have thought that's work?

Now that was a good try, nice work by Valentine and Speight finished very well. 11-10 kick to come

Come on the Ponies! The Canes are there to be taken. Amazing a team with so much talent can be so shite as a team as this Hurricanes outfit. It's like most of them met each other in the dressing sheds 45 minutes ago. Brumbies look like they can find plenty of holes, but they need to aim up in the breakdowns much better. Scrum very good - Alexander, Edmonds and The Food Bill doing the job, against my better judgement. Kimlin hits so much harder than "Guns" Chisolm it isn't funny. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) looked disinterested before he hobbled off. Gits looks pretty sharp in some space, To'omua average at best, Lealiifano also showing some nice work. Speight having his best game I've seen.

Valentine is an absolute shithead. One good run....

Who throws a ball straight to the opposition?? Blame all the charge downs on him. Takes too long to clear the ball.

Sorry, 2 were absolute horror kicks from To'omua, he had plenty of time. And Valentine made that try. Not that he's the Messiah, though.

Commentator says Valentine having his best game so far this season....says it all!
