Ok mate so the other forums where some are claiming it a knock back are wrong? ;) I didn't take much notice of them either, easier to watch myself if it worries me. I take it Crusaders scored directly from the knock on?
Yes they were wrong. It literally happened in front of me

I thought this was the year tries were being disallowed 20 phases following a knock on?

What changed last night?
How are you not fully onboard the Evil South Island Death Star conspiracy wagon?

Thats twice now their resident sex pest has clearly dropped it in the lead up to a try. Not to mention the tackle seemingly dont apply to the bloke.

Always love checking the stats and then reading the thread.

Brumbies missed 32 tackles last night. How many of those can we blame Doleman for?

Any calls to hold Muirhead and Frost accountable for their 5 missed tackles?

Andy surely should fess up to his refusal to try to stop that last try off the rolling maul. Ryan Lonergan gave it his best shot but by that time the hooker was already over the tryline.

Do you reckon they need to get Meredith on per chance?
Not at that stage of the game. I just want to see all clearance kicks from the 22 being taken by Ryan Lonergan (box kicks), Tom Wright (right foot kick for touch/distance) and Len Ikitau (left foot kick for touch/distance). Noah should keep the goal kicking, but be totally relieved of all other kicking duties.

Go watch it before commenting, it was forward, and anyone calling it backwards is full of shit. Stop with the hoier-than-thou attitude, You're smug Kiwi arrogance is showing again.
Geez I just watched it, on the link you supplied,I not convinced either way. Reece definitely touches it inside the 22, and the ball rolls back over the 22 doesn't it? Mind you I also happy if the ref calls it lost control, as he seemed to touch behind ball,, but it certainly doesn't roll forward.

This seems to be a common Kiwi talking point about the incident, but the ball rolling backwards after the fact isn’t relevant to the ball traveling initially forward out of his right hand when he attempts to grab the ball…

What makes it more clear cut is his hand is facing forward when the ball pops out and only travels in one direction.

The aftermath of the ball rolling backward only occurs due to the momentum of it being spat out of back of the ruck and Reece diving toward it.

It was a knock on. In 99 out of 100 other games it gets called a knock on. Here due to idiocy it didn’t, and the Brumbies suffered big time. Did the ref decide the game as the Brumbies had plenty of other chances? I kind of hate this reasoning. Maybe he didn’t, but rugby is game of such fine margins and such momentum that these small moments have huge impact, particularly given the timing of when they occur in the game.

From a refing POV it's unfortunate the try didn't directly stem from the possible/ likely knock-on therefore no opportunity to go down the "I have a grounding but check for a knock-on in the build-up, please" road. Which would probably have resulted in multiple replays & no more conclusive an outcome than what we ended up with.

Are your eyes painted on, Dan? I know you desperately refuse to accept referees' howlers, but that was as clear a knock on as can be. It came off his hand, was in front of him then rolled back.

Actually just took a peek again, and suspect you could be right the ball probably landed on point of ball, and then went back.

Super Rugby Pacific administrators reluctance throughout the season to drop underperforming refs has had a massive influence on the finals. The ref cost the Reds the game last week & Brumbies this week. If those two results had played out we would be looking at a very different finals format next week.
