Brumbies v Crusaders Rd 16 (last) Fri 30th May @ GIO Stadium 7.35pm AEST

He got his position stuffed up and actually let it go rather than take a shoulder tackle without arms. The contact was enough to blow the ball out anyway. Thought it was fine.

Some head scratchers from Doleman already. Holds the set call for the Crusaders scrum feed and pings the Brumbies for going early. Next scrum with a Brumbies feed and set follows immediately after bind. And a very poor read from him to penalise Tualima for hands on the ground when he quite cleasrly won the turnover legitimately.

Other than that, the Brumbies tactic of having Noah kick from inside the 22 is playing right into the Crusaders' hands. He made about 5m net gain from where Lonergan cleared the ball from two rucks and put the team under severe pressure, as he did with his inept attempt to block the kick in general play only to put it straight over the touchline for a Crusader lineout inside the 22.

Crusaders are certainly playing with aggression but sometimes it looks suspiciously like two and more players binding on the ball carrier in a mini flying wedge formation.

Brums need to adjust to the step up in level after 3 wins vs Aus teams. Attack actually pretty sharp but Crusaders get on the ball if they get even the smallest look at it. Some ropeyness from Wright and ugly d from Frost has cost them but theyre in it if they score first.

Officiating seems fine at the ground, not sure about the ref bashing to date. Even the brumbies members are ok with it.

We're running into finals football. Do you think it unreasonable to expect Wright to actually play like the encumbent?
Leading into this game Wright's form has been reasonable. My argument is, if you want to take over from the incumbent you need to play better than him. JAS has not played better than Wright. The only fullback who has arguably performed better than Wright has been Mac Grealy.

I'm enjoying some of Noah's runs. Brumbies need to better with kicks in play. And they need to treasure possession more once they get the ball back. Saders are clearly winning the forward ruck contact.

Not willing to answer my query then.
