Brumbies 2025

The Ghost of Raelene

Simon Poidevin (60)
What I don't get is that STAN have their cameras and crew already in place at Viking Park for the U16s and U19s games. And they are also showing the tour games by the Force. Seems like an opportunity lost by either STAN or the Brumbies.
I feel like this is something the Brumbies should take and run with on YouTube or their social media pages. The 16s & 19s wold be part of a deal which may not even be beneficial for STAN but it's part of the package. They ain't doing more than needed would be my guess.

Brumbies should be leading this one IMO. Also not hard to facilitate. Schools and suburban Clubs get there games online these days.

The centres are stocked...I'm not sure how you fit McLeod in (not that he doesn't deserve it)
There is the point that teams make calls on guys like Hudson Creighton and do they provide more upside to the squad than a kid who could be anything?

Hudson looked good in 2022 but injury stuffed last year right?

Brumbies have given no reason to doubt their recruitment and retention strategy though.

Hudson Creighton is a good squad filler and not a rookie. You're right though, on current path he might only have another year.

I'd take McLeod over Austin Anderson any day of the week.

What's the news on Pritchard and why do we rate him for 3 years?
He's a big lad for an outside back (6'3" and 96kg, about the same size as Taj Annan), but the big thing is probably just that he's a year older and an outside back, so he should be just about super ready.

To'omua has agreed to take on a coaching and mentoring role with some of Wests' emerging stars in the John I Dent Cup after quietly slipping into retirement earlier this year at the age of 34.

He remains one of the Brumbies' - and Canberra rugby's - favourite sons despite playing his last game for the Brumbies in 2016 before testing himself in England, then Melbourne and finishing in Japan.

Now largely focused on life away from rugby, To'omua will dip his toe into the other side of the sport he played professionally for almost 20 years after Wests coach Marco Cecere planted the seed about working with some of his playmakers.

"We're delighted," Cecere said. "This is something can create a bit of excitement throughout the team and for the young backs it's going to be really beneficial."

The plan is for To'omua to be more like a consultant coach than fully committing to a program, and there is no intention of him pulling on the boots again at this stage despite officially retiring from the game.

Even so, the Brumbies could be the direct beneficiaries, with To'omua to work side by side with Declan Meredith and Austin Anderson.

part owner with Dan Palmer, but yeah, was just offering up where/what he has been up to since retirement
Jesus wept! I didn't even realise Canberra had this many suburbs

Massive troubles at prop now. Only 4 available props for next year, Slipper, Ala'alatoa, Schoupp, Van Nek. Need to get the cheque book out.

Are any of the excess Rebels' props still around. I think Eloff has returned to South Africa, Faumasili has gone to one of the Island sides, Talakai has gone to Europe, Gibbon is with the Reds and TT and Kailea are both at the Tahs. Is this right?

Harry Vella is still with the squad and will likely step up at LHP after playing this year with an injury. Tevita Alatini has recently been added to the squad but I would think he will be a bit too green for a couple of years to be a serious option for a THP starting or bench spot.

I thought Vella had done his knee
