Can see both sides of the arguement here. I guess we will not know if the decision is good, bad or indifferent until later in the season proper. Has he named the VC?

Moore may have more game experience, but that doesn’t automatically mean he is the choice to Captain under Jake White and the new playing group. White hasn't in any way rushed his decision here.

Also interestingly the decision was declared once the new team manager was announced, Tony Thorpe a former All Blacks and Crusaders manager. Now full chain of commend is set in place.

It’s of upmost importance that Wallaby Steve Moore focus on his specialist position for the Brumbies in 2012. Steve will lead on the field by example.

Not exactly a swinging voter hey.

I think it's a good move in a way, and the reason why is well illustrated by Giteau's tweet. The Brumbies were hamstrung by the player power status quo last year. New blood is good.

Exactly right. We can all guess about why Moore wasn't chosen when he seemed to be the natural choice. I don't know the guy at all but from the lounge room he looks a bit confrontational - not a bad trait against opponents but maybe not at other times.

That's my guess.

Only meet him once or twice, but agreee with your assessment.

this is where we'll see what Moore is made of. Will he take it on the chin, back the appointment and focus on playing or will he sulk? I think he'll take it on the chin.
