Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Prime is cooked. Has some good content but you can tell Amazon is driven by software engineers at heart when you deal with their interface. Others have followed the Apple method of designing things that a 2 year old can use.
Ironically though, using streaming services on Apple TV is a pain in the arse due to the lack of feedback and specificity allowed by the remote. I'm constantly selecting the wrong option and scrubbing is nigh-on-impossible. It's the closest I've come to understanding boomer rage.

The Stan Sport interface on live sport has always been surprisingly good, easy to move around, and with the "skip intro/half time" options on replay. And a quick way to toggle between simultaneous live games. It's miles ahead of some others.

The "Ball in play" replays last spring tour was fantastic as well.

It's exactly how I watch a full game replay by flicking through the forwards walking to a lineout after the backs pretend like they're going to throw the ball to each other.

The kick clocks help reduce watching a fly-half pull his socks up, flick his hair back and puff his chest out as he kicks a ball but I still find myself FF (Folau Fainga'a) through the 50 seconds it takes.

Can’t for the life of me understand why they don’t be still so this. The mini match just doesn’t satisfy the cravings.

You have to assume it's a decision relating the resources required - one game per week vs five.

Yeah, I imagine it probably involves more actual labour whereas all of the match replays, mini-matches, highlights etc. are just spat out by AI at the conclusion of the match...

I feel like we are the cusp of the Sports Streamer Wars. The evil Empire Fox has started to lose the grip on all the content.

Personally I’m not opposed to a model where we end up paying a direct cost per month for the sports we want to watch. I’d much prefer to pay less for Stan Sports per month to just watch the rugby as I have zero interest in the other sports they’ve got and/or are targeting.
Problem with this model, for me at least, is that it ends up costing a lot if you do enjoy a lot of different sports. I don't love other sports the way I do rugby but I still enjoy watching them.
