It just seems like such a dumb comment.

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and Beale have been stars for the Waratahs particularly at the business end of the season. Beale set up both AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)'s tries in the final and created most of the linebreaks yet no one questions ulterior motives behind AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) getting picked in his premier position at 13 yet accusations fly about Beale being picked at 10.

They have all seem to have forgotten that whilst Foley did the job against France he didn't set the world alight.

Somehow after 3 tests in the 10 jersey it's a disgrace that he's been pushed to the bench by the other 10 named in the squad.

Yeah agree, no person in their right mind could say that Beale was picked to keep him from going to NRL.

Has to be a gee up to move some articles

I also remember McKenzie writing a newspaper article a few years ago talking about X-factor playings like Beale and Cooper. This was when McKenzie was at the Reds with Cooper, and Beale was playing fullback and had a stint at flyhalf for the Rebels, and he mentioned how good Beale would be at flyhalf.

So it is no surprise for me that McKenzie picked him when he has a long-term opinion of Beale in that position. All this league talk is BS.

While a dry track would be better in terms of the spectacle I'm not sure wet weather really gives either side an advantage.
I agree..for the kiwis to gain an advantage due to the weather it would need to at least replicate the average daytime climate anywhere in nz during the winter..so the rain would need to be accompanied by a 3 degree maximum and a 60 knot crosswind

McKenzie picked Beale at 10 for the Waratahs when he was 19 and he got them to the Super Rugby final.

I think McKenzie is surprised that other people are surprised that he rates Beale as a 10.

Interested in the "wet weather call "that the ABs have the advantage... is this a historical conclusion or can we break it down to work out whether they genuinely have an advantage.
Front row we have two very good around the field players in Charles and Slipper and a Mobile brick very similar to ABs.
Locks are similar around the paddock although Skelton might struggle. Back row I think Richie and Cliffy may not fare as well but Hoops will kill it. Halves are similar with Crudens long kicking game giving ABs an edge at 10. but Whites kicking game would balance that especially box kicking(yeah I hate em too)
Centres-you have two freight trains who will love going forward but will struggle if they get turned and KB (Kurtley Beale) has a super short kicking game.
Wings once again great on front foot but won't like turning...Mcabe and Horne would be similar. Fullbacks would both be brilliant playing on an iceskating rink so again 50:50 By the way Izzy can kick BTW and a long way he just doesn't.
I'd be interested in others ideas because I dont see too much advantage either way if its wet.

See earlier in the thread he's not played 10 against the AB's.
I wonder if Hansen wasn't daring or goading KB (Kurtley Beale) to seek to prove that he is up to it: he has a tendency to overplay his hand (not doubt the result of all those dominant performances at SJC) and Hansen may have been tempting him to do that.

Beale was 10 when we last didn't lose to the All Blacks (the draw in Bledisloe 3, 2012).

I dare say Hansen understands that Beales confidence would be on a high after the Super Rugby final and being recognised by Ewen and would be seeking to put a shadow of doubt there. Ultimately its a smart play because the worst that can happen for Hansen is that KB (Kurtley Beale) takes no notice at all and he is in the same place as if nothing was said.

Personally I think that if the piggies can delivery some decent front foot ball KB (Kurtley Beale) will run amok. Also I love how little has been said about Izzy look for him to fire. Go u fucking wallabies not long now

A suitable (and topical) two-line chant from our players when they approach Michael Hooper on the field after tomorrow's match would be:

"O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weather'd every rack, the prize we sought is won........."

Obviously, the 'prize', will be a win, hopefully, leading to the 'ultimate prize', the Bledisloe Cup!!

Yeah the IRB couldn't give a stuff really. The game is booming everywhere but Australia unfortunately. It's not all doom and gloom, the world pull of rugby will always keep the game reasonably afloat here. Just look at players like Te'o and Inu who have left the NRL, not to Aus rugby but to rugby and they can pass on experiences to their mates. SBW, Folau, Burgess, Hunt will be at the RWC next year, the biggest names of the NRL.

You guys are comparing the wrong players. It's Palu/Kaino and Read/Fardy.

Seriously, who would Hunt replace ????
