Yeah quite a lot, actually.Soooo, let me get this straight... RA's message is that Aussie Super Rugby teams need to win the competition to get more eyeballs on the game, BUT it's OK letting a bunch of Wallaby starters go overseas, which will weaken the Super Rugby teams they need to win... Am I missing something here?
Selfishly, I'd rather they have an absolutely miserable time in England - and quickly want to come back - than enjoy the fruits of JapanYeah quite a lot, actually.
Only issue I have with the deal is sending Len to the ass end of England and not Japan, which is where we should be lining up the majority of these sabaticals IMO.
It does seem that players are much more likely to return from the UK than Japan. TBH I can't think of many players who've come back from multi-year contracts in Japan.Selfishly, I'd rather they have an absolutely miserable time in England - and quickly want to come back - than enjoy the fruits of Japan
Japan is awesome, and I can't imagine a better lifestyle than getting paid millions to play touch footy over there. It does seem that players are much more likely to return from the UK than Japan. TBH I can't think of many players who've come back from multi-year contracts in Japan.

Critique is so very different from endless negativity. I wouldn't say that most posters on here are myopically optimistic, rather at least try to find the best in the situation while providing valid critque.
Len has been a great servant of Ausssie rugby and I wish him well. Considering his omission in RWC I expected him to go early after that. This can only be viewed as a win tbh. Pretty clear that Ikitau, as an individual with autonomy over his decisions, had a foot out the door and a hand on a big bag of cash. Instead, we get to keep him in and around the system. RA meeting him halfway with the sabbatical is a win for all parties. Can't see this sort of thinking from the stubborn and denialist RA of a few years ago.

Limited bag supply, i guess.Unless you're Joey Manu who apparently hates everything about the place and desperately wants to come back to Bondi.
haha - i laughed at the mungo press going hard on that line. Only a dumb mungo would find the food, language, geography, people and playing rugby in Japan a negative...Unless you're Joey Manu who apparently hates everything about the place and desperately wants to come back to Bondi.
Did I see he is off to France next?Unless you're Joey Manu who apparently hates everything about the place and desperately wants to come back to Bondi.
