i still dont understand what your exactly on about.
Saru already indicated they'll have to drop two or three teams from the CC Premium Division due to the time frame the new format Super Rugby will eat up. We had a 16 week S14 tournament as it is, now it will be a 22 week tournament.

Judged by the crap that the bottom 2 teams served up in the CC this year, that's a good thing.

So if I have this correct the Kings do not have a team in first division. So their players are like Brisbane grade players?

Currently there are 8 teams in premier division and 6 teams in first (second) division. If they drop 2 that will make it 6 + 8, and this would kill the comp.. right?
Two team = (U19 +U21+ Senior)= 3 x squad of 30 players = 90 players x 2 = 180 players without contracts. 3 team = 270 players without contracts.

Now WJ have a good point and the solution, wont be 16 teams, will have to be 6x3 conferenses = 18 teams. Next up, NZ , SA & Aus have their full compliment.

Blue you dont get it? They are crap according to you, have Melbourne something better?

Brisbane grade players = club players? Boland is the province with the most clubs in SA. You get club > province > franchise in SA. In Aus you have club > vokol > S14, clubs then S14. Big differense.

I don't mean any offense by this Paarl, and respect that you are so passionate about SA Rugby issues. Still, I couldn't help myself......

You're forgetting Oom PB is from the Western Cape.

Take a straw poll around the Boland about cutting the EC off Africa and offloading it onto whoever would take it, chances are you'd get a majority for it on the spot. ;)

They are "provincial" player who are "professional" but probably on the lowest rung of the professional ladder. There is still a club system that would feed the individual provinces that will make up the Kings.

Now we have Captain Kirk and a Kiwi judget to determine the outcome of arbitration.

SANZAR has appointed former Rugby World Cup-winning captain David Kirk and retired High Court Judge, the Hon Barry Paterson QC (Quade Cooper), to act as the independent Expert Determination Panel to adjudicate on the location of the 15th Super Rugby team from 2011.

The matter was referred to the Panel for a binding decision after the SANZAR Executive Committee was unable to reach unanimity on whether Melbourne or the Southern Kings should be awarded the 15th team licence.

Mr Kirk MBE is the former Chief Executive Officer of Fairfax Media, President of the New Zealand Rugby Players Association and was the Rugby World Cup winning All Blacks’ Captain in 1987.

Retired New Zealand High Court Judge Mr Paterson CNZM, OBE, QC (Quade Cooper), is the Chairman of the New Zealand Sports Tribunal and a Member of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and is also a former New Zealand Cricket Board Member.

The Panel will review SANZAR documentation and the detailed applications received from ARU, supporting Melbourne, and SA Rugby, supporting the Southern Kings. The Panel may also request further information by way of clarification and/or validation from the applicant SANZAR Member Unions if necessary.

SANZAR expects that a decision will be announced within two weeks.

Media are advised that the members of the Expert Determination Panel will not be available for interview or comment. SANZAR unions will only comment on the matter once the process is complete.

Thought the decision would be made within 2 weeks? Does common sense really prevail within 2 weeks, just give the fucking team to Melbourne.
