All-Time Crim 1st XV

Phil Kearns (64)
You'd bloody well hope it is. Australia certainly shouldn't stand in the way of this guy getting charged on the basis that his spouse is a diplomat.
Yeah, though without knowing the specifics of the incident it sounds like the sort of thing that would mostly just see him cop some sort of plea deal and kicked out of NZ never to return if he didn't have the immunity, so the end result will probably be the same whether or not it's revoked.

Rocky Elsom putting his hand up:

5 years for fraud and embezzlement. International arrest warrant issued, so if he doesn't front up in France soon I think that also makes him on the run - certainly an attribute the selectors would look favourably on for a breakaway.
Literally googled what happened to this guy the other day. Would also put his hand up for unfulfilled talent world XV.

6 Shannon Frizell (NZ) charged over assaulting woman
7 Simon Poidevin (AUS): stockmarket shenanigans (not sure here. how bad was this?)
I guess Elsom can only play blindside flank? Not a 7? Murdering Marc Cecilon has #8 locked down.

If Elsom is sentenced to 5 years he has to usurp Shithead Frizzle, which is really disappointing as f***** that woman-bashing shitheel.

Yeah, looks like he jumps Frizell, mostly on the technicality that the NZ legal system doesn't give a fuck about All Blacks committing violence against women.

During his tenure, he left the club in financial ruin, reportedly embezzling nearly 700,000 euros for personal gain and that of his close associates. His mismanagement led to Narbonne’s relegation to the French First Division.

Following these events, Elsom vanished from the public eye, resurfacing only recently in an interview with The Times, where he revealed he is currently coaching at the Catholic University School in Ireland.
Has to be made into a film.

Working title: "Rocky 6.5"

Genre: Suspense (Gripping)

Premise: From the banks of the French Riviera to the Sorbonne to the emerald-green fields of Ireland, see Renaissance Man Rocky charm and chat and crash his way to financial ruin!

Location: French Riviera/Sorbonne/emerald-green fields of Ireland/prison in Wollongong.

Lead Actor: Peroxided Sly Stallone as Rocky.

Trailer Line: "Of course you can trust me with your money! It's all part of the renaissance now!"

Not sure if this is the place to query the Elsom stuff, but I know nothing about the French legal system.

It says he has been found guilty and is going to jail for 5 years? But has he not been present for any of the trial? Or has he buggered off to Ireland once they said he was cooked?

I'm confused whether he still gets a chance to defend himself or is it all signed sealed delivered.

He could also be on the board of the All-Time Crim RFC? See how Rocky goes embezzling murderers, et al

He'd done a runner rather than face the court so sentenced in absentia. Prosecution wanted two years, he got five, an additional three, for not fronting. Basically contempt of court on top of the conviction.

I vaguely remember from years ago that he had bankruptcy issues over, I think, failed property development. Or am I misremembering?

Elsom always carried himself like he thought he was a lot smarter than he actually was, didn't realise he was this stupid though...

The Ghost of Raelene

Simon Poidevin (60)
A lot of con artists do. He also gave a lot of people weird vibes.

Surprising that role was something people would see in him. Clearly he thought there was gain in it.

How’s his QLD business going in all this?
