    I definitely think the team that represents the Wallabies best shot at RWC glory. 1. Sio 2. Moore (c) 3. Kepu 4. Simmons 5. Horwill 6. Fardy 7. Hooper 8. Pocock 9. Phipps 10. Cooper 11. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 12. To'omua 13. TK 14. Speight 15. Folau 16. TPN 17. Slipper 18. Holmes 19. Skelton 20. McCalman or...

Brisbane City - NRC Team Official Thread

Obviously a few of the Souths boys will rightly claim spots in both teams and there be less Uni and Sunnybank players than last year. Muirhead, CFS, Van der Walt, Turner?, Ngaumo (though there is little love at QRU for him), Maloloua, Mikaela and Teti Tela all didn't play last year and are...

Pumas vs Wallabies, 25th July 2015, Mendoza

I think when selecting for this test several things must be considered a) winning the Test match - To do this we will NEED set piece solidity, breakdown accuracy and timing (though that will improve with a more practise of the attacking shape. We won't be caught short so often) and MAUL DEFENSE...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Tonight mostly confirmed to me that the Wallabies best 23 is what I thought it would be last December. 1. Slipper 2 Moore 3 Kepu 4. Simmo 5 Horwill or Carter 6. Fardy 7. Pocock 8. McCalman 9.phipps 10. Cooper 11. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 12. To'omua 13. TK 14. Speight 15. Folau 16. TPN 17. Sio 18. Holmes 19...

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

The execution in attach was poor for about 50 mins save for an isolated few good passes from Cooper (see AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)'s try). Genia is injured, Phipps starts. No problem there. Probably would have happened anyway, To'omua was excellent, absolutely excellent. He is the foil that Cooper needs, not Giteau...

    Reds 2016

God there is some fucking fond memories of that 2010 season. I had been a semi committed fan my whole life but I think it was the two games post SA in 2010 where we beat very good Bulls and Stormers sides with a team of no names that turned me into a die-hard. Our dominance of the Crusaders...

    Reds 2016

One thing I have noticed is that when a player literally publicly expresses that they want out then very rarely will the outcome be that they stay.

    Reds 2016

Yeah but over there, is "home" just him and his wife? No extended family support network? Is there health issues in the extended family he wants to be in Aus to lend support for? All those things may or may not be true. Be careful of assuming anything, we can/should only take what Kane seems...

Sure for the NRC BC - Pickle, Tuttle/Smith?, McIntyre and Greene QC (Quade Cooper) - Gale, ?, Duncan and Brandon?

    Reds 2016

Yeah but if that's been in the works it makes sense why The older journeymen (McDuling, Kotze, Murday) haven't been/weren't spoked too

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

If that means he takes an extra 2-3 weeks to give him to best shot at being in top form come RWC I'm all for it
  12. hammertimethere

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

He's got a small issue with his shoulder (long standing as I understand it) that will need an operation at some point (booked in post RWC). To Maximise the chance of him playing his most powerful, most confident footy he needs enough time to get as strong as he possibly can

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

    For the Bokke I'd go 1.Sio 2. Moore 3. Kepu 4. Skelton 5. Simmo 6. Fardy 7. Pocock 8. Higgers 9. Phipps 10. Cooper 11. Tomane 12. To'omua 13. TK 14. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 15. Folau 16. Chibba 17. Robinson 18. Holmes 19. Jones 20. Palu 21. Genia 22. Giteau 23. Horne Reasoning Slipper needs time off. He's not...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I'd be stoked on that squad for the RC, subjectively looks like one of the stronger ones we have put out in the last few years. The injury Gods have been relatively kind to us (especially considering some of the players getting crocked over the ditch)

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Relax, just because the Tahs line out sucked doesn't mean the Wallabies will. Far from it.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Excellent point, you're exactly right. I think it is close to given that most of our RWC games will be tight therefore mostly I would have Pocock starting. I think it's a necessity to have both in the 23 however and I do think that playing a 6-2 bench is the big games is something we will...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Well you kind of explained it yourself in paragraph 2.... I agree with you on all of your points. The Brumbies did get torn apart and wallabies do need penetration. I just am not sure how your (quite salient) point is relevant to my thoughts on a paradigm for solving selection problems
