    2015 NRC Barbarians Watch

I've only watched the QC (Quade Cooper) and BNE games, but for mine the (eligible) standouts from each team so far are Queensland Country 1. Hirsmaki 4. Phil Potgieter 7. Connor Mitchell 11. Izaiah Perese (gone for season) Brisbane City 4. Ben Hyne 12. Henry Taefu (also kicks goals) 11. Alex Gibbon

Qld Country - official NRC thread

A patella or quad tendon tear would be up there BH, or a patella fracture or a number of other things. The ACL is just by far the most common of a gamut of serious knee injuries. But yeah that is fucking terrible news about Chris Sautia and Scott Gale. The Reds will be in trouble if Chris needs...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

The Joker deals have to be allowed by the Super Rugby clubs. I know Chris F'Sautia was offered a rather large deal for 6 weeks but the Reds said no and made him stay to play for Queensland country (as they are entitled to do)

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I would pick Genia, Foley and To'omua too at this stage with Gits coming off the bench (an ideal role for him IMO). I do however still think Quade is more likely to win is a game than lose it these days, but he's run out of time to prove it so Foley is the guy barring injury or spectacular loss...

    RWC 2015

Wales look to have potentially lost their two most important players (Rhys Webb and Halfpenny) to injury in the final warm up

The difference between our gamble and Wales' is that they have Richard bloody Hibbard in camp within 3 hours or so if one of their hookers has a sniffle

    Reds 2016

Well fuck that sucks, but it's not entirely unexpected it did look bad on TV. Who do we get?

    Reds 2016

Also, has there been any update on JJT's knee injury?

    Reds 2016

Matt O'Connor would have been a better option as HC (though not as good as Matt Taylor), supported by Tim Lane as attack coach.

    Reds 2016

Works for me. Anthony is a better 13 than he is a 12. Seeing him at 12 and Taps at 13 (or 15 for fucks sake) used to drive me fucking nuts

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I'd kind of like our 10 to be running at the line, keeping the attack square and putting people through holes from minute 1 though

    Reds 2016

JJ got stretchered off with a knee injury in the Country vs Stars game. If it's an ACL (looks possible) does that mean that Turner is likely to get the contract he's after?

    We could do worse though

I'm not saying your source is wrong, but that would be at odds with everything that has been said publicly by TGC

    QLD Premier Rugby 2015

Paddy James is still at Bros and he's a better 10 than 12 in my observation

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

The reasoning that Horwill isn't a better lineout operator than Simmo or Mumm, not a better grunt merchant than Skelton or Douglas ignores the fact that it seems that Mumm is Fardy's direct back up and the only case for McMahon coming to rest Hooper and/or Pocock v minnows. IMO not worth it to...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I have nothing to say other than 1. I'm glad the Douglas is there, but Horwill should be too. I'd have both and no McMahon (Mumm to back up 6). Clearly Poey is now a bona fide 8 for us atm but it's a little riskier to play the Pooper with your only option to step in and start at tight lock being...

Brisbane City vs Perth Spirit, Rd1 2015

I still suspect Karmichael's best position will be 12 (I thought that when he came over) and Kerevi's is still a toss up (he's done well at both but I kind of like him running slightly wider)

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

The Wallabies (as they often do) have put me in a week long state of agonizingly lonely and obsessively analytical contemplation. No matter which way I look at it from I seem to arrive at the following as our best 15. 1. Sio 2. Moore (c) 3. Kepu 4. Simmons 5. Horwill 6. Fardy 7. Hooper 8...

Not necessarily in that exact configuration but those are the players (with a few of them being too close to call)
