I don't mind that idea. He's better qualified than Hoiles for the head gig. Ideally 2 years under Cheika and then take over, but if he was put straight in charge I wouldn't complain.

    Brumbies 2024

I’m pretty sure if he was in Wallabies calculations he wouldn’t be being encouraged (forced) to move on. So I’m assuming he’s not. If he is being considered for national selection, and he’s being forced to move on, I doubt that is anyones decision aside from the Brumbies.

Blues at Eden park. I believe..,,

Quarter Final: Brumbies v Highlanders Sat 8th 7.35PM @ GIO STADIUM

Yeah, of course, which is what I was getting at re balance. A back row of McReight, Wright, cale for example is way too small. With a big 6 he would be ok. I’d say with bobby v having the 8 locked in for now if he’s picked it will be #20, and it’s probably a year too soon for that. He will...

The concern I have with Charlie at 8 is that he’s pretty small by international standards. That can be overcome with balance, but I have said previously he could be that bigger bodied 7 we are looking for, if Joe is looking for that as well

Why the fuck have they got Ariana grande playing in the background? Nothing against her but that’s not really rugby tunes. Maybe the Brumbies marketing intern volunteered her playlist for the occasion

Gotta love the 50 canberrans that turned up booing the correct decision. That was a beautiful try though, Cale is the ultimate support player.

I’m also still yet to find one of the 2.2m people that watched the women’s origin game on Thursday night.

    Wallabies 2024

TBH I hadn’t ever noticed it until you highlighted it a couple of weeks ago when I made the outrageous claim that Bell should walk straight into the Wallabies when he’s fit. Which was more a recognition of the fact that we don’t have a lot of depth there than the fact that he’s about our only...

    Wallabies 2024

Yeah, look the conversation last night went a bit pear shaped. I appreciate that some of the Reds guys were a bit sensitive, but all I was really trying to say was that if you were a rugby tragic from Mars and landed in Australia with no knowledge of the history of the 2 players you could make...

Far out. Reds dudes, you are now as relevant as us Tahs and Force supporters for the rest of the soup season. Go Rebs, go Brums. My initial post was in praise of the Reds' Wallabies contenders, with a concern about one player. Get over it, it's only my opinion.

That. Or maybe waiting to see what Michael Cheika does. Or maybe something else that players (not armchair warriors) make decisions upon.

    Wallabies 2024

I didn’t. Highlander implied I must be on the cones so I brought up the stats to show they were pretty even. You took it next level.

    Chiefs v Reds 7/6 QF

It wasn’t a final. When it gets to finals a neutral ref is one from another country.

    Wallabies 2024

Well the reds scored 30 more tries than the Tahs this season so it’s fairly logical that Tate is going to have more try assists isn’t it? And I was waiting for the ‘yeah but’ re tate’s cards. Maybe Jake has improved his discipline? And you need to reread the context of my post, in particular...

    Chiefs v Reds 7/6 QF

Haha hardly full shiggins. I’m only talking about the bloke in the middle, I don’t mind the other officials being from NZ & Aus as long as there as a balance. I didn’t mean all the neutral refs have to be Fijian, I meant fly one in from anywhere.
  18. KOB1987

    Wallabies 2024

None. No yellows either. Tate got one of each.
  19. KOB1987

    Wallabies 2024

Ok just pick out the stats where Tate is better. As you were.
  20. KOB1987

    Chiefs v Reds 7/6 QF

There are a couple of decent Fijian ones for a start, if they really want to involve them in the comp. Aside from that, have a caveat in the comp rules that if they can’t assign a neutral one from within the comp they fly one in.
