    Melbourne Rebels 2024

We need to address the wider problem of rugby in Australia first. If there is enough appeal to play the code elsewhere then the Victorian talent will move elsewhere to achieve that. That said, I don't believe the professional pathways in Victoria will die along with the Rebels, should that...

    NSW AAGPS 2024

It's his ankle and he's had surgery, so I fear it could be 'long'

    U16 schoolboy rugby

I'm not sure if this is quite right - the 6 or so you speak of were involved in last week's Opens camp, and had a run in the trial games on the weekend as part of that, but I believe all bar 1 (or maybe 2) are returning to 16's now.

    Wallabies 2024

I think I just said that to see the reaction. I'm honestly not sure who or what our best option is.

    Wallabies 2024

I reckon until we work out who our best emerging 10 is, and that player then demands selection, we have to plonk Quade or Bernard there, with the young 'uns battling it out for the bench spot. It's test rugby not a development academy, none of the young fellas are better than either of those...

    League Targets

I had a horse racing last Sunday so I tuned in to 2KY to listen to the preview and caught the end of his segment. I had never heard him before, the other commentators wanted to discuss the highlights of the weekends games and he just kept coming back to the topic of how Gould was 100% right re...

    Round 10: Brumbies v Hurricanes Sat 27th 2.35PM @ GIO STADIUM

Congrats Brumbies, great win. The Bledisloe will return to its rightful owners this year I feel.

Round 10: Waratahs v Chiefs. Friday 26th April 7:35 pm

I don’t disagree with any of this on tonight’s game. Bigger picture though it’s pretty much all wrong. edit: except the jorgo bit, yes he is overhyped currently. The potential is there for sure though

Round 10: Waratahs v Chiefs. Friday 26th April 7:35 pm

    He probably actually will
  10. KOB1987

    Wallabies 2024

He's also got me negative points on Fantasy Draft tonight, he's not our man.

That 100% is grassroots. There are some instances (mostly in regional areas) where they can't support a junior system , in those cases the grassroots is the point where they can feasibly participate in the sport. Otherwise, yes you are correct.

Rd 9: Auckland Blues v ACT Brumbies, Sat, April 20 2024

Yeah look I'm always happy to see Brumbies supporters come back to earth but I'm first and foremost a Wallabies supporter. So when they need to brought back to earth I want it to be against an Aussie side. Brumbies are better than that, there were some shit individual performances for sure...

    Australian Rugby / RA

I realise that but I am going to go out on a limb and suggest that by the time August 10th comes around this will be a non issue. The clubs will make their own arrangements to fit in with the timing of the Test and it won't make one bit of difference to the players whether they are playing at...

    Australian Rugby / RA

You are making the wrong comparison - the analogy to your loig example there would be to schedule the Test Match at the same time as the Reds v Tahs game. The equivalent for the clash in league would be the Burleigh Bears v the Ipswich Jets.

    Australian Rugby / RA

I don't think it's quite the ultimatum 'if you don't like it then reschedule'. However, RA's objective is to get as many bums on seats as possible at the ground and to enhance the experience. Just as day tests aren't all that friendly for 1st grade players night tests aren't all that friendly...

At the end of the day I am sure the clubs will work out the most suitable approach and schedule their games accordingly. Re Friday nights I was thinking more of the Sydney clubs I have to confess, although the game is in Brisbane I am sure the Shute first graders would like to watch it.

    Australian Rugby / RA

I'd say there is a high chance of that and/or Sunday games. Friday nights also now an option at most grounds.

That game v SAF was announced as a 3:45pm kick off back in February - I'm not sure which release is out by an hour. I think it's more about PhilW wanting arvo games than what the NRL are doing. A bit of Column A and Column B as PhilC said elsewhere.

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

No I meant that the person in the crowd made a bigger deal of it after the event, the part about personal jokes wasn't meant in this instance but I can see why you thought that, I could have worded it more clearly.
