    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

There is certainly merit in starting TT. He may not be the fittest he's ever been but he will shore up the scrum and then when he's worn out reintroduce AAA to test rugby against the tired starters and then the second best options. They are going to be our 2 THP's with almost certainty and...

    Waratahs 2025

You missed my reference to strewth's 'I have heard' in the post above mine. However, these players can literally sit on their hands in this instance as they get paid until the end of next season and play club rugby if they wish. It would make sense that some do want to move to Sydney over...

    Australian Rugby / RA

I would say in most cases it would have been to help out during the relocation process. It's more than having a free bedroom, its about having a home to come to rather than a lonely hotel room.

    Australian Rugby / RA

I would certainly put my hand up for that to help out a relocating rugby player if I lived in Sydney now that I have a couple of empty bedrooms. How many Rebels players actually did that though?

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

1 for Pollard. About 5 minutes as a late call up in the Argie game last year from memory (Edit: it was in Arg in 2022). It certainly counts but I’m not sure it’s vintage. I’m guessing he forgot to add the asterisk next to Flook when he rubbed Beale out.

    Waratahs 2025

We will find out in due course but you would think the Reds would be starting to get a bit tight on the salary cap. LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) & Leota must be high on the Tahs shopping list.

    Waratahs 2025

Similarly I have heard that all the Rebels players 'who flat out refused to sign with the Tahs' are sitting on their hands while the coaching arrangements are getting bedded down. At least a good few of them anyway. It would seem that those ones who are in the Wallabies squad have at least...

I wondered that myself when I saw the 'no chance' comment earlier. I didn't say anything as I wasn't sure if I had missed something

I’ve been out all day, when I jumped on this thread and saw 6 new pages I thought something exciting must have happened at RA.

Yeah I’ve warmed a bit to Dan after the comments subsequent to mine. I’d still rather Cheika though.

Yeah ok. Maybe Thor starts then

    South Africa v Wales - 11.00pm AEST 22nd Jun

I am actually a bit miffed by the pessimism around our front row. As long as the likely 6 top contenders stay fit I don’t see any issues at all, against any team in the world. I will however add that Billy Pollard is the weak link, but I think he will be fine off the bench against Wales and...

    Waratahs 2025

I was talking to his parents last weekend and Tim still looks incredibly fit, like he was still playing for the Wallabies despite that being near on 30 years ago. Even though he is ‘only’ 6’5 the bloke is fucking ginormous, we’d kill to have someone of that physical stature and talent running...

    Wallabies 2024

Yeah I agree as well. Open selection might raise its head soon, but for the near future I’m happy to stick with the 3 max O/S picks and for the administration to sell the message that unless you do your time and are close to world class you aren’t going to be wearing a gold jersey.

    Wallabies 2024

I’ll leave it alone now but just with this closing comment. I personally wouldn’t have selected him like many others, but once you examine the depth of the squad, backs in particular, you can see the logic in it. And if the bloke that was somehow able to integrate the socially, politically...

No but popular and 95 test caps isn’t a bad start.
  20. KOB1987

    Wallabies 2024

He isn’t popular amongst the GAGR community but by all accounts is very popular with the players. Do a search on it, it’s not just me saying it.
