    Aussie Player Exodus

Well they are heroes around Glasgow at least. A bit like that Irish lock was a hero around Clovelly last year, along with all the other Randwick players. I’m not entirely sure that a couple of Aussie players winning the Scottish club comp is properly expressing the point you are trying to make.

    Waratahs 2025

I was probably being a bit hard on him but I didn’t like the style he brought to the Brumbies. Despite the fact they were winning they were one trick ponies and it was boring as to watch. He then tried to take that to the Wallabies and it didn’t work because the opposition knew every time we...

No, that’s what I’m saying - i didnt word it the best with a double negative, I’ll rephrase it.

What he actually said was that he generally isn’t a fan of wasting valuable training time with gym work, but JYD is someone that needs to visit it a bit more regularly. I could be wrong but my interpretation was that he wasn‘t sending him off to the gym to improve his beep test.

We don’t have the personnel for an effectIve rolling maul so Dans not the man. If he gets appointed I think I’ll become a Queenslander.

    Wallabies 2024

If you look at the ‘development‘ team I posted a few pages back it’s not hard to see why Kurtley is in the squad, we literally have no depth in our backs. If we are down by a point with 5 to go against Wales and have to send a player on I’d back Beale to get us home more than the junkyard dog...

Super Rugby Final 2024. Blues v Chiefs, June 22.

Well done Blues. I didn’t realise they haven’t won it for 21 years, that’s even longer ago than when the Brumbies last won it.

    South Africa v Wales - 11.00pm AEST 22nd Jun

Wouldn’t more welsh people watch them get flogged at Cardiff?

    Waratahs 2025

For reference, this is the bones of the NSW Origin side based on the Wallabies squad including the injured players. Spot the Tah. 1 A Bell WAR 2 D Porecki WAR 3 A Ala'alatoa BRU 4 N Frost BRU 5 L Salakaia-Loto REB 6 T Hooper BRU 7 L Gleeson WAR 8 C...

    Wallabies 2024

I can't answer that, and it's not easy to find out. As someone else said Kerevi on one leg is better than some of those other options. Is he injury prone or was it just that one injury that kept him out for a while? He wasn't great for us last year but I'm inclined to put that down to...

    Wallabies 2024

You are right, but we do have experienced options elsewhere in the squad with Kellaway, Daugunu and Beale all capable in the centres. I think it does highlight that Kerevi will likely get the call up for the TRC, even if it's just as a back up.

    Wallabies 2024

Sorry my bad. It took me ages just then to work out where I had got it wrong, but yesterday when I was sorting them by origin I accidentally put 'REB' next to Valetini because he is from Vic.

    Wallabies 2024

Of course you do. There are actually only 9, but yes they will probably all be there, except maybe Charlie Cale.

    Wallabies 2024

I thought it would be an interesting exercise to 'select' a team based on number of caps. Probably not by coincidence, there are 2 neat XVs and an 8 man bench. A 'probable' 23 and a development XV if you like. Before someone has a meltdown about 'player x should be there ahead of player y'...

    Wallabies 2024

The inference there is that one of them is considered a 6. I’d say that is Valetini, so Cale, Wilson and Gleeson are the 8s. My inference only.

    Wallabies 2024

Jake is one of the correct picks. I wouldn’t have Pietsch there, and 50/50 on Gleeson.

    Wallabies 2024

^^^ I should point out I don't necessarily disagree with that stance. Swain should be there ahead of Blyth (WTF?), 3 Tahs is fair but they are the wrong ones (+ Bell & Porecki), Kurtley is OK as a squaddie. I don't think any of those selections will make 2/10 difference in the test series v Wales.
