Loved this response in the comments section on the Roar Mainlander Roar Rookie September 2nd 2024 @ 10:44am Outstanding subterfuge by Peter V’landys (the horse racing guy) and the NRL to render scrums extinct and eventually purchase the IRB at floor price, merge the codes, and play Toulon Vs PNG Tigers in Las Vegas...

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

Which is strange, even Brumby Runner conceded he was worst on ground. I remember after Harry Wilson’s first test back, he described his performance as ‘super’. While most thought he was satisfactory, that seemed a bit of an overstatement. I think we just need to concede that Joe is looking...

One other thing, our clean out work is the best it’s been for several eons.

Yes, I agree completely. I am overall wrapped and proud of the players, and loving seeing the incremental improvement coming from joes longer term strategy. At the same time I am just astounded that Noah wasn’t subbed off earlier, and will be as equally astounded of donno isn’t given a shot...

Happy to take the win but Noah was worth -20 points in that. Shows how stringent Schmidt is with his game plan, he should have been subbed off 15 minutes in not 78. I thought Stewart was fine, he did enough, but Kerevi can’t get fit quick enough.

We would be well in front if either me or Marce were playing 10

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

I agree but it was a rehearsed move that needs to be removed from the playbook

What sort of stupid brain dead waste of possession was that 5m scrum play?

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

I agree, but the problem is we don’t have one of those who is a 10. There is little downside in giving Donaldson a go though.

Noah needs to go off. That’s all I have to say.

About as good as we can put out with the fit personnel, acid test.

It could, but it could also because Joe wants his captain to be an 80 minute player, halfbacks are generally subbed off with 20-30 to go. I know props are as well but I think AAA and Slips being made captains was because they already had notched that up so he didn't want to anoint a new one...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Say for example, climbing off the canvas to come from behind and just get over the 64th ranked team in the world and then have the media carry on like they just landed a World Cup semi final berth.....oh wait....

I do know they performed better than all the alternative 10/12 combinations that are in consideration for this weekend.

    Waratahs 2025

I'd be interested to hear from a 'clubbie' who has also played super rugby if there is one here as to the step up required to go to the next level. I have heard it's all about the speed of the game, especially when going up to test level, and not so much the physicality. At the end of the day...

    League Targets

He's on what they call the 'extended bench', which means he's a reserve reserve, if that makes sense. Not a bad shout 2 games in though.

Stewart reminds me a lot of Kyle Godwin, but in a good way. On his day he was fantastic, and he put in a belter in his only (I think?) test v France on an EOYT. Hopefully Hamish puts in a belter too.
