I think there are accentuating circumstances here. 1) if he wasn't on the contract he's on, and/or 2) it wasn't his first year of rugby, and/or 3) there wasn't a Lions tour this year, and/or 4) it was any other Waratahs centre or outside back, he'd probably strapped up and playing.
