I found it bizarre that Weekend Today (i.e. Ch 9) didn't even mention the Tahs/Chiefs game in the sports rundowns. I was only watching till about 8, maybe it got a run later - but still.

Yes it was that. On field decision was a try so it was referred to the TMO for evidence to reverse it. After 300 replays and the entire planet saying it was a try every day of the week, the TMO stated it was clearly out.

The points distribution for this game was certainly strange - a chiefs player getting all the Tahs points, and some bloke called Leckie got all the Chiefs ones.

I am guessing the spin would have been that he will be rested v the Drua next week and then also gets the next week off with the bye. For the other Tahs Wallabies as well. It does actually make sense, parochial biases aside.

The way the Tahs have been written off by everyone this is the sort of game the come out and put in a belter. As mentioned above they are 3/3 at home this year. Tahs by 1.

I am totally confused by that as well. But you would think that Schmidt is on board with whatever is going on, perhaps he's been sent to clubland for a few games to work on some specific aspect(s) of his game.

That was actually what i was getting at - ball in play time divided by the total game length would be the measure to use.

Great stats. The other one I'd like to see (appreciating it's not the analyst that compiles the data) is the time the ball is in play. It seems to me that has improved significantly, and certainly keeps the viewer more engaged.
