    Reds v Bulls. Bris Vegas.

Re: Reds v Bulls Suncorp Stadium Saturday April 17 Houston and Higgers man marking (but not double teaming) Spies. He must be stopped. Forward runners attacking slightly wider. If the likes of Higgers and Houston, in particular, can get behind the line, it will open up space. The Reds have a...

    The Number Eight Situation.

As CR said, 8 is a specialist position. TPN is a hooker. Rocky is a 6. Those are the positions where we will get the best out of them. If Rocky could so easily be converted to 8, wouldn't it have happened before now? Last month the "TPN to 8" brigade were saying he should move to tighthead...

    Lions Vs Reds. Bloem.

Agreed. Link should have those guys man marking Spies throughout the night.

    Wallaby Squad Predictions 2010!

Like a rabbit in the headlights... I didn't think you were attacking WJ. However, I do think there are better ways to debate than saying "end of" etc. Case closed is close but is used in the context of there being no more evidence required. This is way off topic.

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

Re: Rebels deadline ends, update here on what you hear. Wasn't there a Canadian international, Pike or Pyke, who played for the Swans? And, similarly, there was a schoolboy rugby player, from Shore I think, who chose AFL (much like Nicky Price I guess although this guy was a ruckman, I think...

    Wallaby Squad Predictions 2010!

Scarfy if there isn't already a rule against saying "End of story." or "End of." can we please introduce one. Spook I've fixed it for you below.

    SA vs NZ S14 clashes

Both are crucial games. The Chiefs will have to recapture last season's form to beat the Bulls. I agree the Stormers are unlikely to get past the Blues.

    Are Aussies scared to maul?

Re: Why can't we maul? Watch, for example, the Sharks try from a maul against the Reds. Narrow, powerful, able to change direction. They aren't long and snakey. A good maul, particularly formed in they way I described above, won't fall over if you move away from it. If you hit it hard with...

Well done buddy. Good to hear from CH. I think he's doing ok.

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

Re: Rebels deadline ends, update here on what you hear. You must be joking about Campbell. No mongrel, no dynamism, no good. When he played for the Wallabies was a lowpoint in selections. It was the same era as Fitter et al.

    Wallaby Squad Predictions 2010!

Dingo loves his high work rate off the ball. He is an Australian Caleb Ralph. I don't say that as a criticism either. Ralph was a good player for a long time but neither Ralph nor Hynes are Sivivatus or Caucaus.

    Wallaby Squad Predictions 2010!

I didn't say AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) wouldn't be picked. I said his versatility might prove a curse and that if Hynes is picked at fullback and Ioane at 13 he could find himself on the bench. Alternatively, its not out of the question that Hynes, Mitchell and JOC (James O'Connor) would be the back 3 for a test. I don't think AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)'s...

The Crusaders aren't as strong as they have been. I wouldn't be surprised to see us win if we perform well although the performance against the Cheetahs won't get us within 30 of the Crusaders. We've already lost to the other two top 4 teams so if we don't beat the Crusaders it doesn't bode well...

Re: Rebels deadline ends, update here on what you hear. Apart from Mackay and Berry, I don't think any of those guys would add to the Rebels roster.

    Are Aussies scared to maul?

Re: Why can't we maul? A couple of points: 1. Bodyheight As Nick alludes to, in scrums the power is almost equally opposed meaning that if you get low you won't fall because you are held up by the opposing scrum. Mauls need to be able to respond to changes of direction. If a defending forward...

    Wallaby Squad Predictions 2010!

Horne will come into the reckoning for 13. Picked on form, there could be some big names missing from the Wallaby starting XV this year. That can only be a good thing as there hasn't been enough pressure on incumbents for a long time. I also think the benefit of the Force is being felt this...

    More pressing concerns...

If you care enough to ask the question a second time, look it up yourself. If you are trying to make a point, it's been well and truly made.
