    Wallabies v All Blacks Melbourne

the forwards were like cats in the headlights 'cept Bam. Need a heart transplant into the Wallabies ASAP. The backs can't be blamed totally for the loss, Gitts I thought played okay but outside of him only AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) stood up.

    Richie McCaw Cheat or genius

Then you would be comparing him with only four others from memory - Farr-Jones (personally would prefer him as halfback and captain to Gregan), Kearns - he didn't play too many tests as captain from memory, Mortlock (very eloquent and led from the front but didn't win many big games as captain)...

    Rugby Twitters

Love Brazilian BBQ (was there almost everyday when I lived in China) but prefer Korean BBQ. My brother had Korean BBQ once 3 years ago and still salivates at the mere mention of it.

RWC playoff position do you rate Romania or Uruguay?

Think Romania will win. Would be a great forwards tussle though as Uruguay use the same scrummaging system as the Argies.

    Wallabies v Springboks, Brisbane.

I have said it many times in the past but will repeat that I think Gits would make a good fullback. That way the wallabies can continue with their 2 playmakers (10 & 15 instead of 10 &12), Gits will have space to run and have opportunities at a fractured defense in the event of a poor kick/chase...

    Robbie Deans Report Card

daz, as a coastie for pretty much my whole life I can tell you that the Central Coast is far from a rugby heartland (the game is really struggling up here with most clubs struggling to field two competitive grades). A lot of the problem with the crowd numbers is due to the ARU failing to promote...

    Dear Greg Growden

While you're writing to him can you remind him he is a rugby writer and not a political correspondent or food critic.

    Sydney Uni

The Randwick side from 1991 was pretty good too... 1 Daly 2 Kearns 3 McKenzie 4 Kava (state rep) 5 ? 6 Poido 7 ? 8 Maxwell / Cheika (not Michael but his brother) 9 ? 10 Knox 11 Campese 12 Walker 13 ? 14 Jorgenson 15 ? Half the forward pack went on to win the world cup a couple of months...

Australia A (aka Barbarians) v England II, Gosford

... can I just add kudos to the ARU for bringing the entire Wallaby squad up to Gosford and having them mix with the fans pre-game signing autographs. One of the highlights of the night for me as we don't get to see the stars up close very often. Hopefully next time the ARU promotes the game a...

Australia A (aka Barbarians) v England II, Gosford

My view on the game (went down to Gosford to watch it live - no internet or time to post until now sorry)... The game actually started well with both sides throwing the ball around a bit, then Chambers went off and Barnes came on and it turned into a kick-a-thon. Walsh had no idea at scrum...

Most likely or Iguanas which is just up the road where there is plenty of parking.

    Aus Babas v. Poms

What a shithouse call that was. After the captaincy skill he showed in the S14 why on earth would you give Hoiles the captaincy? Bloody dickhead league ideas infiltrating our pure game once again, someone should be strung up by their balls for this.

Australia A (aka Barbarians) v England II, Gosford

Who is coming up to Gosford for this game? Is anyone up for pre-game drinks or dinner? The boss has given me permission to go out for the night (she may yet rescind the motion).

+1 or either Gary or Glen Ella, Alan Gaffney would be great if they could get him.

    Reds 2011

I think he will say nice things about all the clubs but not sure which one he will complement.

    Wallabies v Fiji, Canberra

Barnes will be captaining the Barbarians team one would think. I don't like the idea of having AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and Ioane on the wings as they are too similar - would have preferred Mitchell / Hynes / Turner on one of the wings. There are too many seagulls in the forward pack for mine - hopefully Sharpe...

S14: Final - North vs South Soweto

Well done to the Bulls in winning back-to-back titles. Hopefully next year will see a new team enter the winners circle of S12/4/5 champions.

Chris hickey - greatest coach of 2010 (and other awards)

Spoken like a true back. Scrummaging is everything when it comes to picking prop forwards, work around the park is a bonus. If a prop can dominate the scrum he can sap energy off his opposite number and if the team scrummages well they can force the opposition to waste energy in the scrums.

    Wallabies announced

How in the world did Hoiles make it back into the Wallaby mix? Hasn't Robbie learnt from the past. Super rugby (especially with this year's rules) suits him, he is not up to test rugby as at that level you need more graft than fancy ball players in the forwards. The same goes for Edmonds - the...

Have to say I agree with Naza. Plus if he goes through with it then it will show he is willing to learn from his mistakes.
