    Southern Inland Rugby 2014

Congrats to Ben Leaper from Ag College who has been given a run in the Brumbies team that played the touring Pampas XV yesterday in Canberra. Although this match was a friendly, the Pampas XV are the Argentinean B side and this match would have been a pretty handy standard. Goes to show that...

    S14 Merit Referee panel

All SANZAR Referees were made aware of this before the season kickoff. Appointments were only made to Round 4/5 and then SANZAR was going to appoint based on performance over the first few rounds of the competition. I think it's a good idea and allows SANZAR to develop their refereeing stocks.

    Worst Commentator Pole Action

This. So many times, I want to hear what the ref is actually asking of the players, not what the commentators think about a certain passage of play. It's also great to hear what the captains/players in close proximity to the ref are saying as well.

http://www.dailyadvertiser.com.au/story/2148961/conolly-to-light-up/?cs=149 Good news for the redevelopment of Conolly Park #4, this is on top of the $17,000 for fencing that was approved last year.

    MONARO COMPETITION

You would have to say that he is the exception to the rule. Didn't he grow up in western Sydney? I'd be interested to know what value you see in sending the team on tour for a week?

    MONARO COMPETITION

But onto a good topic, no?

    MONARO COMPETITION

I started responding to this and got sidetracked, but defintely agree with the points that @Almost 2 old makes. There is plenty of talent in the bush that has the ability to compete at a higher level, however I'm not convinced that players are able to commit the time and effort required to be...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2014

I guess, like all teams, it depends on what those people in the town want to play. Group 20 is a pretty strong competition, the local Soccer competition is also fairly strong. I would expect Marika Vunibaka to be a draw card for the club and arguably increase competitiveness within the club...

    MONARO COMPETITION

The SIRU Competition that ran with this concept was pretty strong back then too if my memory serves me correctly. I think something like this has potential to freshen up both the FSC and Monaro competitions, possibly with the gala day format to start with. I think the major difference between...

    Brumbies v Waratahs Rnd 5 2014

I'm nervous about this game. The Waratahs have been impressive and the Brumbies will do well to get up here, Pocock or no Pocock.

    Southern Inland Rugby 2014

First official hitout for the majority of clubs this weekend at the Summer of Sevens at Conolly Park. Will be interesting to see how the different teams shape up for the day. It's going to be fairly warm in Wagga tomorrow and a 12noon start time will have some warm games played during the...

I've said it before, I think they are a very positive addition in the majority of instances. If a club can highlight a weakness and attract a player from outside the zone to fill that key position, good on them.

    Southern Inland Rugby 2014

I've been told there are 10 mens and 3 womens teams that have confirmed their attendance. That's going to mean a looong day playing rugby on one field at CRP. Correct @Bubba, the tournament has been sanctioned by SIRU (insurance) but is not being run by the zone. A while ago, there was $1500...
