Sure - but I think it can be both. Like I said, I think our lineout has been a bit shaky all year.

    Queensland Reds 2025

I think our lineout has been our Achilles all year to this point. Our ball control v the Crusaders was terrible, but it seems to have been an anomaly, whereas our lineout has let us down a number of times. I feel like our discipline can be off at times too, but I was intrigued that the said...

    Wallabies 2025

Agree. And I also don’t see any value in playing them together given the form on some of the 6s & 8s in the comp at the moment. I guess if you were going to run a 6 - 2 bench, but I still don’t think Fraser is the guy who gets subbed. However, if McReight got injured than Tizzano becomes a...

In my defence, 10 kgs is definitely a better story.

Agree Swain & Williams deserve lots of credit, but there also did appear errors in execution. De Lutiis was way too late on one lift - although ironically from memory it was the one that sat up for Lynagh and which Pakeho scored off. There were a couple where the throw needed a bit more loop...

Okay - yes, looks like I was exaggerating a bit (damn you ghost :) ) It’s at about 15 minutes into this podcast. Doesn't say the specific amount but it sound closer to 5 then 10 kgs.

I can’t remember the exact time frame but it was a ridiculously short time from. I believe it was between the end of the RC & the start of the European time. I’ll try to find the interview and check but I’m positive it wasn’t months.

Yeah - but don’t all their 7s jump? From memory Van Der Flier and the Curry brothers are all used as back up jumpers. Though I note Van der Flier is only 186 cms so maybe I have that wrong.

I wouldn’t have thought so as he is often out in the midfield

Just quietly though - how good is our scrum Fa’agase is Greg Holmes mark 2 and just getting better. Hodgman looks to have stepped up a level too. JTA (Jeffery Toomaga-Allen) obviously not Wallaby eligible but, from a Reds point of view has been terrific and Nonggorr & De Lutiis really positive. In fact across the...

I think you have to give a lot of credit to Swain & Williams. For the second time this year against an Aussie team they were completely across the detail. Swain might have his flaws but once they got on top in the lineout his chat was relentless and, on face value, it seemed the Reds were...

    Queensland Reds 2025

Yeah - not really blaming Asiata as such and credit to the Force lineout. Williams & Swain seem to run a really good defensive lineout. I thought maybe a few times the throws were a bit low but generally it just seems they were picking it and were very quick to get their jumpers in the air. Fair...

in the presser last night Schmidt suggested a return by Campbell was imminent, and Paisami would be back this week, but Flook still some time away. Hopefully Faessler, Wilson, McReight & Fa’agase are all back. Would also like to see Nonggorr back in for De Lutiis. You can see De Lutiis is doing...

Apparently Schmidt told Tizzano that he had to put on 10 kilos and he went away and did it in 3-4 weeks or something ridiculous. Any chance he can grow 15 cms in a similiar time frame???

My last comment was completely over the top. I went back and deleted but should not have posted it. I apologise.

    Reds v Force 7pm Sat 29th March, Rd 7

I’ve watched it. I specifically replayed it last night to see exactly what happened. The AR makes the mark. Points Horton to the mark. Horton ignores him. Now - if the kick stays in, or if the Force take a hit up inside the 22 it is okay on and none of us would have the slightest issue with...

    Reds v Force 7pm Sat 29th March, Rd 7

No - they didn’t pull it up. They simply, and correctly, ruled that the starting point was outside the 22. I get that officiating can be tough and people like to bag them but the players were wrong here. And sometimes, often, the officials let stuff go to let the game flow. People are bitching...

    Reds v Force 7pm Sat 29th March, Rd 7

Is there anyone playing better in Australian rugby at the moment than Seru Uru & Filipo Daugunu? The fact that the Reds have been able to compete despite the injuries/rotation is a big tick for squad depth and the fringe players putting their hands up but those two have been outstanding week in...

For what it’s worth I liked the old you - always good for a laugh - but prefer this version. We all have tinted glasses on and I love that you get so into it. But having a bit of balance is a good thing IMO and I don’t think your posts have lost any of their entertainment value.
