Who’s not in contention for selection this week? JTA (Jeffery Toomaga-Allen), LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), Wright (LFW). Is that it? Is Gibbon injured too? Always look forward to seeing the first team list of the year but I feel like there is a fair bit of extra interest in this one than normal.

After last year good for the Tahs to kick off the year with a win. Especially given they had to show composure at the end. Congrats Tahs fans - the season where no Aussie team won any super rugby game over NZ teams still haunts me so personally I’m happy to get one under our collective belts.

There is a comment on the Brumbies v Drua page that some of the Wallabies have playing restrictions and that sitting out the first game makes them available for all other games. Maybe it’s the same for BPA

There’s been some comments that Kiss is one of the favourites from the local selection. Whether that is informed comment or not I have no idea. But Larkham gets mentioned in every meaningful discussion I’ve read.
