Good yarn thanks Joker, yes View had a good centenary in 1980 by all accounts winning most of the titles that year. The legendary Les Kirkpatrick aka "The Kirk" was the coach of the View 1st XV then, great bloke and you wouldn't die of old age wondering what he was thinking... I remember Dad and...

Well done to Kings today. I know View will be dissapointed, tough conditions for all though, they fought hard to the end.

Both Riverview and Kings are younger sides, which bodes well for both next year. If by 'swamp' you are referring to 1st Field on Riverview's 120 acre waterfront estate, I expect the home team will prevale over the visitors from their Parramatta farm. Any visitors wondering what that shiny blue...

Enjoyed the story thanks Joker. Jika was a great example of a gentleman from the 'greatest generation 'who could walk the walk. Admired by many, a scholar, war hero, great sportsman and carismatic leader. Any GPS School would have been extremely lucky to have had Jika as headmaster.

Wow, what a round, shows how even the 1st XVs are this year!

Interesting Ghost, don't know regarding Ed. I noticed Ben B ('View left wing), played well against Shore in the 1sts and is now in the 2s, so both View backlines should have plenty of speed.

Agreed, one of our boys chose to study Med' when he left View and the other is also in an academically challenging course at Uni, the school set them up with a brilliant study routine/methods and well resourced academic foundation. An old family mate of mine from the bush left Joeys in the the...

Quite the word salad even by your standards Joker, clearly JC favors the Jesuits with the bloke in charge being a Jesuit. Are you on morphine now, not judging, just asking for a friend? Well done to Joeys 1sts they have lifted a gear today by the looks, eventhough it was at the Asylum where it...

View 14 over for a try, score is 14 -0 View, Grover (9) converting after about 27 min. Some big lads in the New side.

Thanks Ghost, I can't see anything on Streamer in any of the 2nds matches

Ken was certainly one of the greats RRR, for sure. I would put Jim Lenehan from Nerrandera up there with him, you may notice a decendant of Jim's playing in the 2nd XV (backs) for View today. I am biased though as Jim and my Dad were mates at View, both in the same year. Would be nice if they...

Got to wish luck to Scots today Subbies, the task is always a little more difficult at the HH Asylum, game of the round imho. If there is one school that battles Joeys, as hard as View, it would the boys from the East. The pink and blue fireants will call on speed and fitness too, as is their...

Quick question; is the Spaghetti Cup just the 7ths, or 8ths or 9ths or 10ths results or a combination of a few of the different grades' scores? Seems like such a presegious award will need some guidlines/structure?

I know how you feel RL, Kings came through, as did View, well done to both! Going to be an interesting season..

Love that one bloke brought his .303 Lee Enfield out to the field, it's like FFS Reg' put the rifle away, cadets were yesterday, rugby today...

I recon Joeys are flying under the radar a little atm, like View and a few others, they use trial matches to try different combinations, so I don't know how much we could take away from last Saturday? A draw for Joeys would invoke 2023 form, consistent, but unlikely. Happy to be proven wrong.

Yeah to be fair they built the Main building without waiting for permission to be granted which is pretty hilarious, and it turned out well. Sure Lindommer, I am I sure we could all do with more money for towers, but you have to admit its an impressive building. Fair is fair, keep the chat to...

Love the bias here Joker, got to admit the the Hunters Hill main building looks like an Asylum; which is what people call it.

We had a couple of sons attend 'View as country boarders, our last son left a couple of years ago and I can confirm their emails are deactivated as they leave school. I assume most other GPS Schools have a similar policy? Schoolboy comments are fine in my opinion, like others; as long as they...

We got down to Brissie today and made the U18 match at Ballymore, it was a tight match between the states Jnrs with more flare from the NSW side, but Qld did play well. Qld dominated in the forwards and pushed NSW around. NSW seems to be taller, but the Qld pack must have been heavier? NSW...
