Sounds decent. But in the 2009 BILs Tour, the Lions didn't play the SupeRugby provincial sides. They played the Royal XV, Golden Lions, Free State Cheetahs, Natal Sharks, Western Province and the Southern Kings. It's a different story in Australia, and I can pretty much guarantee that they'll...

Also, apart from WJ's point, how many minutes has Cooper played this year? Has he not played 80 minutes in any game this year? He could use some solid down time when he can get it.

They played 10 games in South Africa: 6 against provincial sides, 3 Test matches and a mid-week game against the Emergind Springboks between the first and second Tests.

If Cooper goes down; Beale to 10? ;)

That was different, and I'm pretty sure you could see that. O'Connor had a fullback closing in, was slowing to time his footsteps to allow a kick, and Kankowski is exceedingly rapid for a backrower.

Reckon Connelly said that in 07? ;)

I don't recall any of his career other than highlights I have seen. I asked because I recently saw the highlights of a Bledisloe game where he scored 2 impressive tries (a Test where Rogers played 10).

Random question; what happened to Mark Gerrard for him to lose his place in the Wallabies squad in the first place?

Trying to predict some of Deans decisions is like finding a needle in a haystack... while doing a loop de loop in a hot air balloon.

If Elsom is injured, there's not telling what Deans will do. He's a little troppo at the best of times.

The only thing trivial about your exchanges is your last post. Of course you have to be correct and clear about what you're saying.

Well I dunno. Beau is pretty physical, shifting bodies and counter rucking. If you had he and Pocock in the same backrow it would be like the old Smith and Waugh combination, which, coincidentally, we used at another RWC. One thing I noticed looking at the old Phil Waugh tapes is that when he...

I'd rather have Pocock, Robinson, McCalman, Elsom, Hodgson, Samo. Probably won't happen though.

Barnes had a cracker of a game at ten against the Chiefs last year, and that was a game with the full strength backline. I think when the Tahs can field a fully fit backline he should play ten, but if it's a weakened attack, I think he goes into his shell.

Could be a number of things. Perhaps he's carrying persistent minor injuries (apart from his cranial issues). Maybe he's not reacting well to the pressure he's under, or maybe the training regime doesn't fit. Lot's of theories but we'd need to get him on the podcast to get a definitive answer...

Swarley, I know that's not your preferred side, but that team had me cringing and grimacing.
