Dean Mumm? Ashley-Cooper could have been. I think Genia will be, same with Horwill.

Good point, Daz. I feel for those who will inevitably be compared to The Ork.

    Wallabies Trinations Squad

Did they zero the scales for Fainga'a? I think the perception is correct, Charles plays heavier than Fainga'a. But Charles is a longshot IMO, Deans will take Fainga'a.

    Phil Waugh retires

I think he'll still be involved with the Waratahs even if he isn't playing for years to come. Also I think he'd probably like to keep playing but as captain he can't really be on the bench. I think the injuries are piling up too. He has two young boys too. Phil Waugh's just a champion. At...

A number 8 on your back

Agreed. I think we're just overstepping the mark. Gillomania was probably a little excessive, the talk about Timani came close too. Don't worry about state bias. Won't be long and we'll be forking into the Kiwis.

A number 8 on your back

I think Dennis and Vaea are still a season away. Dennis is still improving, Vaea is pretty green. Don't throw them in until they're ready unless we have to.

Didn't Taione play for the Brumies this year? Or was that Elvis Levi?

    Waratahs 2012

Nah I'd rather spend a season with a local flyhalf who will make mistakes but can grow into the 10 jersey than bring in a recruit who might be a success. Tahs need to develop a ten for the long term. Even if Barnes is unable to play, he'd be useful to coach.

    Shute Shield 2011

Definitely agree, TBH. It's a subtle change in direction that's not oversold, really is quite Larkham-esque as you put it. Pretty beefy pack for West Harbour, too. Hikila in particular looks like a very solid citizen. I thought I heard the commentators say that Cummins is 19; is this correct?

Interesting theory. Maybe Taf just has a crush on Sharon?

    What has happenned to advantage

I think the refs are seeing possession as more valuable than previously. IIRC, in LG's non set piece thread there was a quote about a captain questioning the ref about the advantage played to which the ref replied "sure you had an advantage; you had the ball."
