    Where to for Super Rugby?

At the level directly below there is no safety issue. Most of these teams are made up of prospective pros, current pros or people that have been semi-pro/pro at some stage. Most the Super Rugby squad players drop to these teams when not selected on a week in week out basis. We saw Argentina vs...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Why dont we have the Super sides play against the top club sides in a FA Cup style knockout? Top 4 from Sydney and Bris qualify, 1 from WA, VIC and ACT. You could have a season with SRAU, then a champions league comp with all the 5 teams (+ whatever other nations) then this played during the...

    Waratahs 2020

The offer talked about was fake. His true value would of had him down the pecking order

    Wallabies 2020

Lets all remember its been 3 matches since he scored a try, its hardly time to worry. For a very traditional style winger its been no surprise considering the lack of quality ball supply out wide.

    Australian Rugby / RA

The article its announced on is read like he’s rejecting $3m from RA to take a smaller deal in the NRL, whereas RA and numerous other sources have said it’s been dramatically less than what Souths are offering. For anyone that still believes there isn’t inbuilt rhetoric towards the game, they...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

That could work. They just need more games, I only know from a rebels perspective that a couple of years ago they were pushing for more games because they wanted to start taking the game to different areas, but the limited amount of games meant it was difficult to do because it would eat into...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Why is the push back answer now, “but at least the kiwis are throwing up options”? Aus does have a plan it includes the 5 teams, they are also open to other options on the proviso it includes the 5 teams, it’s not that hard to see or understand. People (almost always kiwis) saying at least they...

    Australian Rugby / RA

Article out tonight saying the contract freeze is over and teams can start signing again. Also the Sua'ali'i offer is around 15% of the rumored amount and all of it comes from the fighting fund. The deal is rumored to only be for 18months, I guess they can entice him over without the long term...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

You could argue if Aus had a WC 9yrs ago and a lions tour 3yrs ago it would be in NZ shoes financially and NZ would be in Aus shoes. We need to get away from the cycle of waiting for Lions tours and the odd World Cup to prop the game up.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Aus clubs are wanting a minimum of around 8 home games to be financially viable. 10-12 weeks would send the game even more broke than it currently is

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yep Champions League would mean their clubs can keep to 14 games if they like. That’s 8 SRNZ games and what would be 6 Champs League games + Finals.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

It’s strange. It’s counterproductive financially after clubs have openly said they need more than 7 home games to draw a profit. I’m adamant we should keep what’s special about SRNZ and also think it’s important for Aus to keep current comp, then have a cup competition between all the Aus, NZ...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Who hasn’t toweled up the Tahs this year. Haha

    Where to for Super Rugby?

That sounds to me that someone is open to 5 Aus sides, with the obvious caveat that squad quality would have to improve. Hence 3 decent imports and maybe some returning Aus talent to help with that.

    Wallabies 2020

Koroibete and Wright the front runners atm. Someone would have to give up the left wing tho.

    Waratahs 2020

I thought he was decent for a first run out in almost 5 months. He’s always threatening, honestly thought he was the most likely player to make anything happen in a dismal 2nd half for the Tahs.

2020 Super Rugby AU Round 4 Waratahs vs Melbourne Rebels

As mentioned earlier that the Rebels play a deformed version of Jakeball due to Wessels SA links and especially with Jake White. He was a significant influence on the Brumbies when they were playing Jakeball as an assistant. I get the strong impression he has stripped the Rebels right back to...
