    Australian Rugby / RA

There is a few players running around in contract from the future fund that is set up with money from silent investors. It’s there to ward off NRL because the clubs can’t even get in the ball park for remuneration. I have a feeling Harrison was the first recipient of it and Pasitoa is currently...

    Waratahs 2020

Telegraph saying Sua'ali'i is poised to backflip on the Rabbitohs to sign with Waratahs for $1m a season. Surely doesn’t seem right

    Wallabies 2020

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Philip, he still has a Rebels contract for next season that he's looking to complete. His current plan is to head to Pau for one season and then come back to play out the back end of the Australian domestic scene once the French season finishes...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

With all the talk of a lack of quality in Aus teams, its interesting to note that 17 of the players in the Argentine World Cup Squad last year currently have no contract for next year. Including 10 that played against France and lost by 2 points (5 starting, 5 bench). Even more available if you...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

i don't understand the attrition argument of a 10 week comp with a bye every 5th week, Rugby League is as brutal as it gets and is played over 20+ rounds week after week.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Its quite simple to understand really, one proposes the extinction of a franchise and the worst thing is the one proposing it doesn't have to deal with the backlash and political fall out that comes of it, and the other proposal doesn't. It's a very simple equation.

    Wallabies 2020

Samu could legit the no.3 man in every pos. Maybe a sign he should be the versatile bench player? Also what is Swinton like at lock? not saying he should play there but when building a bench could be a very handy trait

    Rebels 2020

i like this approach. There is no need to be nasty about it but the club also needs to be more proactive than the last time they were under attack. They lost the PR battle last time with certain things that were justifiably and deservedly thrown at the club but equally lots of misinformation and...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Maloloa, Uru, JP Smith, Faeo are all in your own squad? I don’t understand why people have to throw out snide remarks on things that they obviously have no knowledge of. Daugunu upto the start of this year was still ineligible. So at one stage this year the Reds were potentially carrying 5 and...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

As i heard numerous times at Rebels games, Jackson was more Gardon than Bachop when it came to talent

    Where to for Super Rugby?

The whole 2 foreign players? :p Lomani and Koegelenberg Eloff is the third but still around as a development player.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

The realistic targets would be fringe Puma's and the Tyler Ardrons of the world. Not over priced and too good for the level they are playing at. Perhaps some fringe Boks players that are wanting lifestyle over a pay day and settle down with the family.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Agreed. Perhaps one foreigner per position (maybe 2 for wingers and locks) across all the franchises. 4 Aussies per week (or at least one about to qualify to be one) per position starting.

    Reds 2021

His basic skills are better, can pass off both sides and can kick to some capacity. Hopefully his rugby background will help as well. Excited to see him, but happy to wait to see him play before forming a solid opinion

    2020 crowds and ratings

Bonus to Fox as well would be they only have to produce half the games as sky would do the other half in a Trans-Tasman comp. Have heard production costs are around $40-70k per game depending on the content.

    2020 crowds and ratings

The Australian reporting that 6x more people watched the Super Rugby on Saturday night than the a-league. Their Saturday game attracted only 9k viewers on Fox. Im thinking this is a good thing for rugby, especially considering what Fox gave the a-league in their renegotiated deal

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Im happy with imports but they cant be squad members (have to be genuine first teamers) and they have to add value.

    Wallabies 2020

My understanding is that hes carrying a niggle that he just cant shake. Was expected to be back after round 1 but seems to be taking longer than expected. Fingers crossed hes back just in time for the Tahs this week.

    Wallabies 2020

Im happy to back Valetini as the 6. Swinton has impressed me, his physicality is brutal as well (so it isn't just Valetini). Who plays there could be determined by who plays lock. If there isn't any ball carrying ability at lock I think it brings the Wilson/Naisarani option on the table as teams...
