I actually think having Hodge at the back allows us to win a lot of games of kick tennis, so teams probably more willing to kick contested kicks against the rebels than play for large territory gains. On a wet night and the opposition isn’t winning the gain line battle it’s a huge advantage.

Yeh it’s one thing organizing a rugby championship or Bledisloe as you can base teams in a sole location but having a week in, week out comp I think wouldn’t work if things don’t improve.
