Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

As a Rebels fan my focus on the reds was McReight (what an amazing game, he’d be close to players player of the game with that effort), Tupou (is now clearly the premier TH in the country which is saying something considering AAT is a great player) and LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), he was incredible.

Take away the bombed try he’s was pretty solid. Got lots of go forward and huge work rate. I don’t think he’d have anything against his name after that. Coach will be looking at players putting themselves in position to be held up than those that don’t.

Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

That is what you’d describe as a brain dead display from the rebels. No patience, declined at least 3 easy kicks at goal, declined to go to the corner for the maul numerous times. Reds were very brave, clearly shows there is a lot of character at the club

Super Rugby AU Round 7 - Force vs Waratahs @ Robina - Friday 14 August

One thing that annoyed me last night was the Fullbacks name. Is it pronounced Strawn or Stracken. Everyone I have ever come across with the last name Strachan is pronounced Stracken. Can someone clarify how it’s pronounced and if it was the commentators horribly off the mark or it is actually...

Super Rugby AU Round 7 - Force vs Waratahs @ Robina - Friday 14 August

Agreed. I think they are only 2/3 quality players from been someone that can regularly contend with the others for finals spots.

Super Rugby AU Round 7 - Force vs Waratahs @ Robina - Friday 14 August

The pack is working okay but it lacks a link to the backs. Stowers and Stander are sharing this role but they are clearly more suited to the tight stuff. Should look to introduce a tight 5 player that’s capable of a little bit of ball playing (engage the line and draw the ball back to a second...

State of the Union (origin) discussion

Plus West Australians are anti everyone in all walks of life. Lol

Victorians for rivalry are more anti West and South Australians.

SOO works because of QLD. There is a chip on our shoulders for all things NSW despite we are the two most similar states in the country. We are the Scots to NSW’s England. Living in Victoria people think they have a rivalry with NSW but it’s more of a d$@k measuring contest than anything...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Had no idea they had split relationship.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Add living away constantly from their families as they are proposing numerous locations to play from home. Plus I’m pretty sure Singapore is about a 7/8hr flight from Auckland. Somethings just don’t make sense and this is one of them, not saying it won’t happen but this is another square peg in...

    Rebels 2020

He’s turned into one of the best 15s in the premiership in the last 10yrs. I see the Telegraph has linked us with a return for Steve Cummins. I’d be happy with that, could be a handy player until Philip returns from France. He’s been playing fairly regularly for Scarlets in Wales. Then turn...

    Rebels 2020

McMahon and Woodward for me were the two biggest losses considering where they were in their careers at the time. Woody would of got a good handful of tests for the Wallabies if he stayed around and McMahon left the same year he was close to the best Wallaby in an international season. Tyrell...

Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

I actually think having Hodge at the back allows us to win a lot of games of kick tennis, so teams probably more willing to kick contested kicks against the rebels than play for large territory gains. On a wet night and the opposition isn’t winning the gain line battle it’s a huge advantage.

Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

I’m expecting the Rebels to throw men up in the air for every lineout to start the match probably looking to hit the corners as much as possible. Can see them wanting to play large parts of the game without the ball in the Reds half. Biggest threat to come at scrum time also McDermott...

The rain follows the Rebels around in this comp. Not sure if they have had a game that hasn’t been impacted by rain

As someone that has skin in both a traditional states and emerging ones, I’m a born and bred QLD that’s lived in Vic for a decent amount of time. I have no interest in wanting to see the Vic players play in a watered down QLD team. Give me fire and brimstone from those that care about it. This...

State of the Union (origin) discussion

100%, it needs to be genuine rivalry and not some watered down product, it should be about people from QLD wanting to beat the snot out of people from NSW and vise versa, not some wallaby trial. I’d much rather a WA v Vic pre-game. I’m also a believer that it should only be a one off each year...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yeh it’s one thing organizing a rugby championship or Bledisloe as you can base teams in a sole location but having a week in, week out comp I think wouldn’t work if things don’t improve.

    Rebels 2020

Jack Debreczini I see is back playing SS for West Harbor, could be a solid depth pick up for any squad looking for a back up 10 in the next season or two.
