Super Rugby AU Round 8 - Brumbies vs Waratahs @ Canberra Stadium - Saturday 22 August @ 7.15pm

I think this is a nod to the future as Lonergan is a gun. I think Powell is poised to move (will still play a role this year as his experience will be needed) but next year also certain to see White/Lonergan

    Wallabies 2020

100% wingers are at the beckoning of whatever system their team deploys. Equally Daugunu last week defended well but the majority of the Reds defense happened in their own 22 where all 15 players are in the defensive line, so you’re less exposed to 2 on 1s or space on the edges for teams to get...

Super Rugby AU Round 8 - Brumbies vs Waratahs @ Canberra Stadium - Saturday 22 August @ 7.15pm

I don’t think they will miss the finals but they still can very much miss them. They should win their Force game but the other two matches are a lot more up in the air. If they lose their last 3 they will more than likely miss the top 3

Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

If they are the best player in the position they should be selected. One of the issues we have done in the past is picking players who could/will be better players in the future but at the time weren’t the best player in the position. Fardy was the perfect example of this, clearly still the best...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Any PI team inclusion will 100% require investment from the local governments (Fiji, Tonga, Samoa), investment from World Rugby (like Drua), investment from either the Aus or NZ government (both country’s are looking to invest influence in the region to battle overseas influence, I don’t...

    Rebels 2020

It’s compounded more because they are 2hrs away from Sydney airport and obviously returning back. Love how they have the blow up beds for the ground, must be a standard practice across all the pro teams as im pretty sure have heard the Reds been doing the same because they have to be at the...

Yeh I have a few guys I know that are fully pro in HK as well, it’s a combo of players in the High performance national squad (fully pro) and players that are on match day payments.

    Wallabies 2020

I’d say Deegan is even beyond 5th choice. If a game was this week the selectors would go Lance before Deegan. I’d even go as far as saying they would call Foley back (over 60 caps) before Deegan gets selected. Obviously things can change in the coming weeks with the Rebels having 2 matches to...

Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

I thought the backrow was solid. Kemeny is probably the silent achiever of the competition and Wilkin did all he had to in a game where his influence was greatly mitigated because the rebels had so much ball. We retained ball very well and the pack did get a fair bit of gain line success. I...

Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

I think the rule changes as a whole have been good without ruining the fabric of the game.

Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

As someone who’s team lost the game, it was thoroughly enjoyable. Defense was brutal on both sides especially the Reds. The Rebels were brain dead and never should lose a game in which they dominate for the majority of it but that added to the spectacle.

    Rebels 2020

They have done so well the last few weeks adapting a pragmatic nature, yet yesterday it seemed they continued to roll the dice over and over again. The decision making over the years has been strange on the field, even going back to Adam Coleman’s refusal to take the 3 over the Jags for a draw...

Also if Thorn ever doesn’t start McDermott again, he deserves the chop simply for that lol. Completely different team when he plays
