I saw all matches NC were involved in and watched the tapes of BBC,TSS and most TGS. My view is the best player in comp(consistantly) was Croft . In the top 5 was Sua. Neither will play against NZ schools however:( Others like Ngamanu,Riley,Robertson and Luka were inconsistant-but on occasions...

Many people recruit from Northern NSW, not just TSS. NC has had the Gibbon brothers (2010-11-12-13 First XV), Frankie Caluguy (2013) and Tom Zappala (2013-2014) & Conor Young (I think). Ipswich Grammar also recruit heavily from the Northern Rivers. And yes mostly they are recruited in Grade 10...

I agree with Lindommer; But Lindommer, the even more important statistic is how many have produced Wallaby's or even Super 15 player (of note)? And even more important how many are notable Wallaby's? And how many of them have won world cups? The schoolboy experience is only the start of any...

It's not unfair opinion of Churchie, it's my and others reality of the perception of Churchie. And I have, in my experience, not only played against them at the highest level, but so has my father and my son; so we have a bit of experience as a family with over 6 years at First XV level. In...

You can call it what you will RedsHappy. You saw the video; didn't look convincingly safe to me. And if your son was injured during the rush, YOU would be the first person onto the Nudgee Insurance company, wouldn't you? No respect. Everything you said was refuted by the video. So some...

This weekend will, I think, be the first wet weekend. Therefore maybe the forward packs need to "sussed" out for the winners of the week? Also the scoring and wins may be closer than expected. I like the number 3, so here are some of my tips for the week. I think TSS v Churchie game will be a...

A perfect day with firm conditions and a large crowd were present at The Southport School (TSS) old boy’s day as they greeted Nudgee College (NC) on the Gold Coast. They were there to witness a must win game for NC, to keep their premiership hopes alive, and for the home team to see whether they...

Yeah mine doesn't work. Happy he probably would of had a shot, but injured his shoulder before the State trials, therefore wasn't considered. The other shoulder was injured in the TGS game and this was his first game back (So glad he was there).

Fair call then bear. Not wanting to support bad play, but the second tackle was a little soft. Even though there was a hint of lifting, the tackled player still had one leg on the ground (from memory). Looked like a good ol fashion driving tackle.

Ah Getwithme, yee of little faith. I thought it would be close and I actually picked the score difference. Gavin Luka coming back and Liam Richman's return added to the NC resolve. The King it was Liam Richman who was the goal kicker, so he's hardly a rookie. He missed a couple of goal kicks...

There are a number of games that I have witnesses or watched were the referees has been, well, sub-standard. I do understand the games are quick but...... Even on Saturday (NC v TSS) it seemed the "square-up" was on early, after NC dominated the first half. A 15-6 penalty count against NC, with...

Su'a again, The King, I don't have to sell Su'a to anyone, he does that himself. All I said is that he was a competent footballer; the highest accolade (IMO) that a schoolboy footballer can have at this early stage of his career. I have seen more than several truck loads of schoolboy...

I appreciate you to Murph'sLaw. Well that why I called Su'a competent because he is a competent rugby player. He is not a notable rugby star, he's a schoolboy. And he's a schoolboy who is probably going to play league (which I don't have a problem with either jfyi). Too funny :)

I've been working away for most of the week RedsHappy, but thanks for your interest. I said Churchie deserved to win, didn't I? I agree that Churchie caused NC into some of the errors. I'm not having a go at that, even in the slightest way. Well on the sportsmanship level I didn't play in...

I realise they lost Murphy's Law. I was there! They weren't meant to be excuses (I stated that), they were reasons why the performance was poor. On Su'a are you kidding?? He scores a majority of his tries from passes made to him in the clear. A line break is a different matter, I was talking...

16 A's flyhalf Roma Jnr Vaeau is rumoured to be starting for NC this weekend with the first 3 choices at flyhlaf injured (Moseley, Richman and Rangihuna). Tough one to start against TSS Getwithme, 9 minutes ago Report #1846 Well there's only one day to start for him and that's...

On the other hand I was very impressed with Croft. He's a smart running rugby (league) player. I think you control Croft you control Churchie. That said I think at the moment the best 10,12 & 13 combination is definitely TSS. I think they are ahead by a good bit and they are all rugby players (I...
