OMG, let's talk about something else. Thinking about that game again has given me a case of the vapours

It sucked when Mitchell didn't have his contract renewed and unbelievable that Veainu was let go. Speculating but I guess he didn't fit into TT's gameplan of catch the ball and kick it to them.

Had we been able to get our best team on the park once in a while we would have been more competitive last year. The game plan would have still been diabolical though, a game plan designed to lose by less.

Would not be surprised if he's looking elsewhere. He's probably 5th in line for a spot on the wing.

    I kind of hope you're right :)

    Rebels 2018

Correct. We will top the conference for at least one more week. Then we have three winnable (as in not impossible to win) games in a row before the Crusaders at home. Really need at least nine points or better from the next three games. The Tahs have Sunwolves (A), Reds (H), Lions (H), bye...

Super Rugby Rd. 7. Rebels v Hurricanes at AAMI Park, Friday 30th @ 7.30pm

Yes but, "should" does not equal "will". ;) You're right though, just about any team can knock off any other on their day. The Sunwolves are capable of causing a big upset next week and just as capable of leaking 60-70 points.

^ This time next week I reckon we'll be down to 5th.

Almost certainly. Both the Canes and the Chiefs have only played five games and both would be a good chance of picking up five points this week against the Shorks and the Blues. The Lions have already played seven but should beat the Stormers this week and the Cru should beat the Jags. I...

Well, starting at the top, I think Talakai has been good when he's come on and might offer a bit more carry than Ainsley. RHP is a big back rower and I reckon he's played better than either LT or Cottrell, so far. A heavy hitter (RHP), a ball carrier (Mafi) and a fetcher/link man (Colby or...

I tend to agree. I was pretty pissed off on Friday night at that limp effort but, if you had asked me at the start of the year if I'd be happy to be 4 and 2 and sitting on top of the ladder the answer would have been yes. The bye has come at a good time and will give the coaches a good chance...

2018 TV ratings and crowd numbers

I'm not sure why you'd find that surprising. There would be many (thousands) more Kiwi fans in Melbourne than Tahs, Reds or Brumbies fans. It would be similar in other places too I imagine.

It's only the general admission tickets that have reduced in price, by $5.00. I think they were $20.00 last year and now $15.00 or, you can buy a membership and pay $11.00/game. All the other tickets are at the same price as last year. It is better to have more people even if some are paying a...

Is that the biggest crowd in Australia this season?

This seems an odd place to post that comment, but anyhoo... you're right, where was Lehman? o_O

Carlton V Richmond pulled over 90k on Thursday night. Apparently it was the 12th time a home and away game has had over 90,000 since the AFL began. I'll be disappointed if we don't get 12,000+ this week. Kiwi games usually pull decent crowds in Melbourne, Saffa games not so much.

It sounds like they've signed Horwitz to play 10. BTW, is out-half an Irish term? I thought they generally used "stand-off" in the NH.
