So that's 17 players leaving for various reasons (I'm excluding Schatz as he was only signed as injury cover for Sean). Thought it would be interesting to compare that to some of the other teams: Brumbies -13 Reds -7 'Tahs -6 Blooze -12 Crusaders -10 Chiefs - 15 Clan -13 Canes -15 I didn't...

Actually, I think Mick Snowden was most impacted. But he lost his job for Genia, not an ex-Force guy.

Snide comments aside, who is it that you are feeling sorry for exactly? The only two players that you could say have possibly been pushed out for ex-Force guys would be Metcher and Ah-Nau. Pretty good chance that one or both of them would have been gone anyway. Moloney, Reid, Shipperley and...

Colby would be one of my first players picked, every game.

Fair enough re Lance although he has been listed on the Wikipedia page for quite a while now. Agree 100% - Colby for captain. Genia plus a former Force player as VCs would be a good mix I think.

Plus, English and Lance. Engish is signed signed for 2018 and Gary Gold let it slip a while back that Lance was leaving Worcester at year's end as he had signed for us and would be joining in the new year. *Edit: Sorry HL35, missed your last post re Engo.

Just Wessels and the S&C guys.

Yeah, you'd think Beale 10, Hodge 15 would have been more likely. The 6/2 bench is even more of a mystery though. I would have thought either Meakes or Perese might have been given a run.

Great to see big Sam back and good news re Toolis. I thought the poor bugger might be out indefinitely. Still no sign of Jordy though.

Strange conversation for the Japan match thread :) In any case Hodge will be defending the 12 channel, Beale will be on the wing. Beale will have to be careful of getting smashed on one of his sideways running adventures though.

Yeah but, we'd be mad to say no to a bloke of DH-P's quality if we can get him. Although, if it came to a choice between him and Coleman, due to salary cap or whatever, I know which one we need more.

I agree about English for a bench spot, he can cover 13, 14 and 15 Horwitz can cover 10 and 12. I would really like to see Hodge at 13 and keep Sefa on the wing.

I guess Tom Moloney is going to have to start looking for another job now. He and Metcher never really got much of a chance.

I think it's more likely to be (not in any kind of order): LHP - Faulkner, Daley, Sa'aga THP - Talakai, Ainsley, Weeks Hookers: Hanson, Uelese, Siliva (apparently all signed for 2018)

2017 TV ratings and crowd figures

I don't mind seeing the ratings for other sports from time to time. Puts the rugby games into context.

Sounds like they grabbed those quotes from the G&GR podcast. Worth a listen if you haven't caught it yet.
