    Where to for Super Rugby?

I am actually waiting for someone to consider the possibility (very real based on the current arrangement) of the Pert Spirt and Fiji Drua jumping ship from the NRC to Twiggys comp Not only the Drua and Spirit but with Eastwood taking 100% control of the Rams I reckon they are also eying it off...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2017

Great season everyone, I think the best teams all season (minor premiers) were crowned champions which is a fitting result. Grand Final day itself was outstanding with enthralling matches across all the grades, great weather, great crowd and great rugby - what more can you ask for. Again...

Even just getting the three teams two year running is an impressive effort

I agree Wrangler, Leeton will be able to win with 25% possession, not saying they will but they can... Should be a great match up of styles I learnt last week not to write of the Tah's too early, but all men's grades is pushing it. Doing that back to back would surely be unprecedented in the comp.

I think the answer to my question RF was very long odds. They certainly are a proud and strong club, and would have to be a fair chance in some of their grand finals. In relation to the matches on Saturday, how good was that 2nd grade match??? I think is was half an hour into it before there...

What are the odds on Waratahs not getting a single team into a grand final? Hay would have to be favourites in 3rd grade along with Leeton in the girls.... Probably the best bet for them is 2nd grade but Leeton were quite impressive on the weekend. In 1st grade there could be a bit of a...

That is very true triathlon - I know people (as namtrak said on the last page) think the Blacks shouldn't have been in the finals at all... but they didn't break any rules until they played unregistered players in the finals. The whole situation stinks but I don't know what SIRU can do to make...

Just had a look at the SIRU News page and they have the draw for Saturday. The 2nd Grade Minor Semi is between Leeton & Tumut... What happened to the Griffith Blacks????

    Southern Inland Rugby 2017

As long as all the players are registered and have played 7 matches (or got the exemption) they are fine, the guys have played all season and earned the right to be playing finals (really finished 3rd if they weren't deducted points for the forfeits). I agree there is a dodgy feel to it but...

As predicted JC will be playing this weekend... http://www.dailyadvertiser.com.au/story/4828603/curgenven-cleared-for-finals/?cs=149 Not sure why we have eligibility criteria given how easy they are to get around, usually a club can sight injury or as Albury did a couple of years ago with a...

Playing different grades on the one weekend does not count, only one match per weekend counts so still only the 6 matches for James Curgenven. As I stated a while ago, he should not be able to play but I think he will be made eligible - he might be injured anyway for this weekend???

Don't think the Phantoms can pick up a single point against Wagga City Paul? Only need 1 and they have more bonus points than everyone else in 2nd grade.

    Southern Inland Rugby 2017

I think their first grade has been playing reserves all year, they would probably be pushing for a finals berth if they had been playing firsts all season.

    Southern Inland Rugby 2017

I think that pretty much sorts out the finals situation, Griffith and the Uni teams to start planning for next year. According to Angus McLoud the Phantoms are now playing more structured rugby with the ability to adlib which will be very hard to beat. Their scrum even pushed the Tahs around a...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2017

Good effort considering the zones that the two teams are drawn from and the amount of time the teams spent together with training - NSW Country beat NSW Subbies last week by 40 odd. Hopefully some players will be selected for the Griffons again this year - not sure what games they are playing if...

Really interesting to see what happens here... There are exemptions for people moving to town or coming back from injury, neither of these apply to James. I have a feeling he will play but can't see why he should.

Haha, as repeatedly stated my comment was in jest - a problem with social media is people taking everything as gospel... Just look two posts before that one paul, maybe namtrak is the one responsible??? "Heard there are some quality players floating around in Leetons ranks this year. Maybe...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2017

As I posted earlier my comments we very much in jest.... Not sure where these rumours started.... For someone to be eligible for the Rebels U20's they would have to be playing in a VRU competition - just so we are clear SIRU is a Brumbies competition so nobody playing for Leeton (or any other...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2017

I really don’t think the Rebels and the Fijian Rugby Union are sending the best of their Under 20’s players to Leeton every weekend to play - my comment was tongue in cheek ;) All clubs are now recruiting players to be competitive and the standard of the competition has improved as a result...
