Some would also argue that Albury Wodonga with a population in excess of 100,000 and an army base and a university should be able to find enough locals to have a half decent team which can be supplemented with 2-3 imports to be a very strong team. They don't seem to have got that balance right...

The reality of the situation is that as long as we are part of the Brumbies Zone it won't happen, they have made it clear that the Brumbies Provincial 3 way has to be our priority. We can go to Country week but i'm not sure the cost warrants the additional weekend of travel, we are not allowed...

The Brumbies website has some info on the tournament and the full provincial team 1 to 23. My understanding is the team was picked by an independent selection panel not the coaches. https://www.brumbies.com.au/2016/06/brumbies-provincial-team-named-to-face-nsw-country/

Simon Vunilagi will be back row or 2nd row - he is the Leeton No. 8. Thought you might have given him some points on Saturday Sam ;)

Not a bad review by the DA... http://www.dailyadvertiser.com.au/story/3925369/siru-mid-season-report/?cs=149 I think Aggies might make the finals at the expense of Griffith but as Courtney says it will all hinge on round 11 in Griffith.

A little off the mark - I don't think anyone would have picked that scoreline. Same old story with the Blacks, terrible on the road when casual players won't travel. They should be strong on a Friday night at home with no league conflict this weekend. Not Sure about the long season ahead for...

Good season preview in the DA on Tuesday, anyone know why there is no rugby coverage in the online addition??? Anyway Courtney Rees has made her predictions with Tah's top of the pile followed by Tumut, Leeton, Albury, and Griffith to make the finals and City along with the Uni teams missing...

According to the DA Farrel Maota also linked to Wagga City - they seem to be big spenders this off season... Leeton have lost 3 from the back line and Sam Allen - was last year a flash in the pan or can they continue to improve???

Looking like a 2 grade competition with a stand alone 3rd grade/McMullen Cup being played separately... Not sure how all clubs will go sending their 3rd grade to Deni, Hay or Junee when 1st & 2nd grade are on the road elsewhere??? Also where does it leave the Deni girls???
