My mail is that NZ really aren’t sold on TT. The public aren’t behind and the administration certainly has major reservations. A lot of contributors on this thread are making a major assumption that a TT is even on offer.

No quite the opposite! whatever the second tier comp is, it must be interesting and compelling enough as a stand alone comp. It needs to bring fans to the grounds and to the tv. and it needs to do this year in/year out - whether the Wallabies are #1 or #7.

With all due respect barbarian and Mickey Rummery, these are also all the reasons why Super Rugby should have been a success. But it hasn’t. So if I were looking at this with my business head on, I’d be suspicious of the value of those attributes.
